Good location near to mrt

Location wise is near to Lui he night market. Overall experience is quite pleasant but till the last night we found out that our luggage had been touch as my the number code had been change after the hotel do a clean over of the room.

Cleanliness is what is expected of any hotel. Very run down hotel. Room has no window and toilet has bad design - floor gets wet easily after shower. We have to work around it rather than the amenities for us. Staff service is alright.

Convenient with public transport

Return to Kaohsiung to explore the city on public transport alone. Use this hotel for the second time for two nights. Centrally located, close to MRT KH RailStn, a busy hub for rail, MRT, and distance bus services. Ample parking if you choose to drive (like my first visit). Wholesome breakfast that will last for half a day, room size adequate, noise minimum. Convenient stores and food stalls nearby, but don't build up expectations for the cooking. Beware of this: rooms of number XX01 are in the blind spot of security cameras, so be sure to lock up the room properly. Someone rattled the door with a key card close to midnight, but luckily my door was locked manually.

Hotel within walking distance to main station.

Stayed 6 nights. Close to night market and Kaohsiung main station. Catch MRT to various places cheaply. Travelled from Taipei to Kaohsiung in U coach. Excellent. Then walked to hotel. So near.

HUGE room and bathroom in a convenient location.

Chose the Shihzuwan Hotel mostly for the location but was very surprised by the room size and modern bathroom. The jacuzzi tub (in the 50m2 room) was awesome after a long day of walking and definitely worth the higher rate. The immediate area is mixed with some modern and older buildings and with the train and long-distance bus stops in close proximity getting around is easy. Staff spoke English and were helpful.

Very handy location, mostly good facilities

Very handy location for Kaohsiung main (train) station and MRT, also several bus companies nearby, small places to eat, convenience stores, etc. Room was clean and mostly fine, bed was comfortable, but the towels were quite poor - didn't feel very good quality. The coffee in-room is that 'three in one' stuff which is awful if you don't like sugar in it. However there is a free machine in reception. You have to pick up breakfast vouchers each day for some reason. Breakfast was a decent selection for the size of hotel, but some of the hot dishes were tepid by 0830 as they weren't kept hot. Some however were kept hot. Free washer and dryer which could have been handy if required.

Great service, clean and neat facilities.

The hotel is situated near the Kaoshiung TRA Station, but not exactly within comfortable walking distance for those with bulky luggage. Perfectly fine for those with backpacks and without rolling luggage though! The room (bathroom included) was really clean and tidy, and much better equipped compared to other hotels I've stayed in Taiwan. The corridors were a little to dim for my preference, and could more brightly lit. Breakfast, too, was a good spread compared to other hotels in this price range that I've experienced in Taiwan. The staffs were really helpful and friendly, offering advice for various transport options to the attractions in Kaoshiung. For those keen to visit the Fo Guang Shan monastery and Buddha Memorial, the hotel offers chartered transport at NTD 700 per pax - which is reasonable compared to the rates that local taxis charge.

Very relaxing and comfortable room with location near to multiple convenience stores and one of the city's central stations. The shower and bathtub facilities were great for relaxing at the end of the day for better sleep later on. Staff were sincere and helpful. Will definitely stay again if visiting Kaohsiung

Conveniently located hotel with spacious rooms

The hotel is a slightly older hotel but located in a convenient vicinity (near to the subway and railway stations). The hotel rooms are very large and the one I stayed in had Jacuzzi facilities. Good value for money and a decent place to stay should you ever visit Kaoshiung.
