Check-in was lovely, the lady that helped me was very nice. But my room. I woke up at 4:30 in the morning to write this because I'm so disappointed.. directly above the entrance. All night long all I hear are cars, car doors, people voices, and then An Extremely loud metal grate that every car has to drive over to leave. I couldn't leave my door open at night for the fresh air because of the noise. My view is a little bit of Ocean View with mostly roof. I was pretty sure I selected an ocean view, not a partial view.. but I guess I'll have to go double-check that. I was here to celebrate my dad's birthday today. He was supposed to be here, but unfortunately passed away before he could. It would have been his first time. Anyway, just overall disappointed that it wasn't a better room for the price. I was hoping for an experience, or to be at least able to leave my door open at night to hear the ocean. That would have been a first.

We tried the bungalows for the first time. It was nice to have the lanai and to walk to the Branches concerts every night. Great staff and a nice vibe throughout the property. A great beach and 2 pools are just a few steps away.

We love the location of this property, especially during Humpback Whale season. Not only is the beach amazing, you can see whales absolutely everywhere on the horizon, and sometimes even and mother and her calf closer. Our favorite thing to do here is snorkel on the beach closer to black rock. This trip we saw an octopus and a turtle! Closer to the hotel we could hear the whales talking to each other underwater. It's the most amazing thing to listen to. We love the bungalows. We stayed here twice now. We haven't stayed in the hotel. We love the bungalow because they are spacious and you can just walk out onto the beach quickly. Did I mention the sunsets?! The SUNSETS! Absolutely amazing. Also, when you call housekeeping for any reason, they show up in minutes! It's the fastest service ever!

Really enjoyed my time here! Would very likely book again at this same hotel. The beach access is amazing and the water is so pretty and swimmable. I stayed in a bungalow and it was really comfortable. The balcony was really nice to relax in too. Only reason for no 5/5 is because it is so expensive for drinks and food. I’m sure it’s like this at every resort but $16 for a 12oz “cocktail” is wild. But one trip to the ABC store solved that problem lol.

We had an amazing trip to the Royal Lahaina. The two-bedroom bungalow was incredibly spacious and worked well for our family of five and while not designated as an ADA room, was great for me as a full time manual wheelchair user.

Stunning location

I highly recommend the bungalows, really took away the hotel feel, and our oceanfront bungalow was just steps from the pool and beach. Easy beach walk path south to get on the excursion boats. Pristine beaches. Live music (pleasant and unobtrusive) every night. Would stay again for sure.
