A Nice Flat with an Inaccurate Amenities Listing
We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. Everything was as we would have expected it to be in a VRBO listing except there were two amenities missing; a dryer and Air Conditioning. When we tried to contact the host about why these were listed when they are clearly not available in the unit, the host got angry with us and told us to vacate the premise in order to get a refund. It was late and this wasn't an option. We had previously written in to VRBO to describe this mismatch between amenities and the listing and had expected some sort of partial reimbursement for the false advertising. We have yet to hear back on our result with VRBO, but the host didn't handle it graciously at all. We are upset that this minor problem turned into a larger issue. The host could have easily apologized for the incorrect listing and sent us a partial refund immediately. Because they didn't do this we are now having to go through a long a dragged out process to get this issue resolved. We normally post positive reviews, but cannot do so in this situation because of how the host reacted. Very immature and not very hospitable. We would choose a different option next time. One with Air Conditioning and a washer/dryer combo or one with two separate units one wash and one dryer. Just a hassle in the end. And another negative is that it's on the forth floor with no elevators nearby. So not ADA accessible. This place is fine for someone who doesn't need to wash clothes or care about Air Conditioning.
