We chose this hotel for proximity to most things. Easy (normal Asian footpaths standard) walking distance to many attractions and shopping, either local shops or big malls. The waterfront is close by to get water taxis to Kampung Ayre. If there for a few days there is a coin laundromat just around the corner. There is a complimentary filtered water on each floor and there is a restaurant on site though so many choices within 5 mins walk. The room was on par for similar establishments though we found the bed extremely hard. Hotel does not have a pool or gym but provides complimentary access to a gym not too far away. There is a hotel shuttle that runs to a timetable at reception though we didn’t use it. Whilst it may not have the facade of the Empire, you can’t beat its location.
