Pool was nice. But workers were replacing the pool deck while we were there - smelly and noisy. Unpleasant. Service level from staff was generally uninspiring except for a couple of individuals. The guy at the front desk is ambivalent/insousiant. Francesca is a star, as is Dixie at the bar. Cleaning staff were nice and effective. Hotel is a 3 star by North American standards. Breakfast was not good - eggs were weird and what they called bacon miniature in size and like cardboard. Pancakes with fruit were good, however. They take the coffee station away at 10 am SHARP!! Can't give the guests anything for free, after all! Typical Jaco tourist trap - if you want a margarita with crushed ice, well that's an extra buck, otherwise it's on the rocks. The nickel and dime approach is annoying.

A quiet place with spacious suites and walkable to downtown and the beach. Breakfast was delicious and overall the lunch and dinner menus were quite comprehensive and inexpensive compared to some other places in the area.

The property itself was lovely. The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. It was off the beaten path though. 5 blocks from the main strip and not very scenic. But given the cost and property it’s self I’d say it was definitely worth it.

Another enjoyable and relaxing visit at Oceano

Another really enjoyable stay at Oceano. Very good location 5 mins walk from the Main Street in Jaco so away from the night time noise. The hotel is very nice, accommodation in good condition, very clean and comfortable. The room allocated was spacious and had all the facilities I required for a 4 day stay. The hotel has a gym and pool area which are both very good. I used each every day. The restaurant provides breakfast (a wide variety). The cafe in the hotel provides food and drinks during the day and evening (up to 9 I think). All of the staff I encountered were very friendly, courteous and professional. If you wish to go on an excursion during your stay there is a local guide based in the hotel who can advise. I went on one of the tours and it was good value. I would definitely recommend the Oceano to anyone visiting Jaco.
