This motel was the worst experience of our lives. We felt unsafe and sickly just staying here for one single night. We had to switch rooms because the first room we were given had a clogged toilet full of feces, and other disgusting content left behind by previous tenants. The next room we were given was barely any better but at least the toilet worked. The floors were wet and sticky, the bed sheets were dirty and stained and had cigarette burns in them. The pillows were so thin and dirty and had no clean sheets to use for the night. The AC smelled terrible and left us with a bad cough for days afterwards. The surrounding tenants were all on drugs and gave intimidating looks and we couldn’t sleep imagining what could happen to us. There was no toilet paper, napkins, or even a microwave to use. The outside was dirty and full of trash and seemed like cleaning service didn’t even exist at this motel. We are appalled by our experience here and wouldn’t wish anyone to have the same experience we did. I don’t think this motel should be advertised by Expedia and I also would request a refund for suggesting such a selection in the first place. Never again will we ever go anywhere near Rivers Inn Motel.
