Excellent experience! We stayed here for 8 nights and didn't experience a single issue. Would definitely stay here again if im in Istanbul. Very close to Shihane metro station and around 10-15 minutes walk to Taksim.

Great hotel but bad smell from the bathroom drains

The Pera Palace is an amazing hotel and the service is excellent. We had one major problem...there was a bad smell in the bathroom that seemed to come from the drains and it stayed throughout the trip, this was a big spoiler in the lovely hotel. The doormen are excellent, very helpful.

The property was absolutely gorgeous and it does feel like you're stepping back in time to an incredibly glamorous era. The hammam and massage treatments were wonderful as well, and the hotel is in a great location with tons of shops/restaurants/bars within walking distance. However, there were some issues, like our room smelling very strongly like cigarette smoke from time to time, possibly from a neighboring rom? And we opened a bottle of water from the minibar to find it smelled a bit like cheese. So a few little things, but overall a tremendous stay.

Great character and lots of interesting history about the hotel itself. The Greta Garbo room was lovely and spacious. Service although good lacked warmth and that extra something to truly make it stand out as a 5 star experience.

Absolutely lovely property! And the most amazing hospitality I have seen at a hotel. obviously this is a historic hotel, and it is very well taken care- has a luxury feel. I really appreciated the warm, “good mornings, have a nice day, welcome back” from the hotel staff. Selim especially went above and beyond! everything is perfect. Lovely views of the Bosphorous river nice location lots of good dining options. Staff polished your room twice a day. Everything was just so so perfect. I absolutely recommend this is a wonderful hotel.

This is a beautiful and historical hotel. It’s rough around the edges - in need of a renovation and a more thorough clean but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. Our room felt like going back into the past. I would say, however, I was very disappointed by the spa area. It was dirty and run down. Overall though the beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast and overall vibe make up for it

Historic, renovated, outstanding service. Spotless. One of the best in 50 years of travel. But, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Walk one block to Aheste Restaurant. It is excellent.

This is a hotel deeply imbued with history. The room was smallish but comfortable and clean. Great location in the heart of European Istanbul. And the breakfast was spectacular.
