Excellent breakfast from their view restaurant! Room temperature was too warm (too dependent on lobby/overall temperature). Lobby needs a “quiet please” sign because loud guests echo into rooms. Everything else was excellent and staff was very helpful!

My room was beautiful and very quiet. I had a lovely view of a nearby mosque over the roof of the spice market. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. And the daily breakfast was fantastic!!

We chose the Mest Hotel for a four day trip to Istanbul, partly because of the location as it was centrally located close to the tourist attractions, and partly because of the attractiveness of the property and the rooms. We selected a Loft Suite because the price was really low, and we were very pleased with the room. The photos are accurate and the room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was small but it's an old building, so there's not much that could be done about that. The rain shower was wonderful, with great water pressure and hot temperature. The breakfast in the rooftop dining area was good, and included in the room rate, although I don't recall this was mentioned in the Expedia listing. There was plenty of choice each day, with both cooked options and cold continental options. The staff were amazing and so helpful. My wife found that her coat had a tear in the seem and the staff took it out to a tailor and got it repaired within an hour or two. They also handle some laundry that we needed done, and arranged a sunset cruise on the Bosphorus for my wife and I. The staff really were incredible, and as someone who's stayed in higher end chain hotels with Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc. they were way better than the concierge services I've received from those chains. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again and recommend it for anyone who wants a comfortable room, in an historic building, walkable to all the sights, with exceptional service.

Very nice place with modern dasign

Good Points: Rooms have been clean and fun with a double bed on an upper level. It was in the heart of the market and the food was fantastic - plus the view from the the dinning room. Worth getting up early for a sunrise breakfast. VERY close to the market Other point to consider: Not easy to get to and you will have to walk by foot the last 300m depending on your drop off point. HARD to find if the market is open. We arrived when the market was closed then returned when it was open and the place was unrecognisable. KEEP good mental notes of the place. :-)

We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast girls were very efficient and friendly and the view from the restaurant is fantastic. Would be good to vary the breakfast options more. Loved the hotel cats Precious and Mesta. Adorable… The room was kept very clean and housekeeping are doing a wonderful job. Good proximity to shopping and restaurants etc.

The staff at the hotel were excellent and made extra effort to cater for dietary needs at breakfast (gluten free options) at no cost. The location is great for walking to all the key historical sites in Sultanahmet and is also close to metro/tram links to other parts of the city - the Istanbulkart transport card is cheap and easy to use. Views from the top floor terrace of the hotel are beautiful.

The staff at the hotel were amazing- cannot do enough for the customers. Fatih and Emmy at front were exceptional for the hospitality. They went above and beyond during our stay so thank you. The hotel staff contacted me the day before arrival to ensure everything went smoothly. The hotel is very close proximity to the grand bazaar and spice bazaar. The public transport is reliable and easily accessible from the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel always smelt very nice and clean.
