Depressing….
We were excited by seeing the pictures of this listing because it looked like a clean, and sophisticated BUT the reality is not even close…Let’s start with the entrance; you need to go down 6 steps that ends with a huge drop down last step to the apartment which could be very hard and dangerous for many people.
Once we arrived to the apartment, there was a strong damp (sewage like) smell, and he said he washed the steps and this smell will go away in couple of hours but it never went away because this place is a basement and it has this constant damp smell and feel…The apartment is way much darker than the pictures; on top of it, he turned off couple of lamps when we checked in with saying it is sexier like that !?? There are so many individual mood lighting (and those are the only source of light) you need to remember and figure it out which switch controls which lamp… you need to turn them on and off each day and believe me you need them all and still it was impossible to tell even the colors of my socks and T-shirts…There is no light in the shower (maybe it’s a good thing because I don’t want to know how gross was that shower) so you will have a glimpse of light from the toilet next to it. Toilet has a clear glass door so get ready to see and hear everything that your partner is doing in the toilet….
The apartment felt incredibly dirty and dusty… you don’t want to walk barefoot on that floor anytime.
When we checked in, the kitchen looked like someone has just left the apartment, there were dishes washed by the sink. There were no towels so we asked for it and he went upstairs to bring some and made a comment saying he brought extra (4 total) - we stayed 9 nights so I’m not sure how 4 towels is extra? The mattress was comfortable but if you’re like me need a headboard to sleep better, good luck! There was a single size blanket and it was not big enough to cover two people comfortably… once the weather got colder, I looked for a comforter and it looked, and smelled dirty… I don’t think they washed that since the last guest… and I had to use it for rest of our stay and since that night I had several bites; bed bugs!!?? Also if you ever stayed in a VRBO before, coffee and water and other beverages comes with the place are complimentary… not in this place! He charges 2 euros for water and each coffee capsules which rude and not cool. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY!!
