Q.When does the King Suite with Sea View become an unavailable room type? A. When the hotel decides to rename it the Executive Suite with Sea View. Thought we were on a good thing for our last two nights in Istanbul when we booked this spacious, modern room with large windows and a panoramic view of the Bosphorus. And purchasing it during the Black Friday sale at 52% off we were in heaven. Alas it was not to be. On Check in we were greeted by the Sales and Marketing Manager and advised that there had been a mistake by Hotels.com and our King Suite with a Sea View in fact had no Sea View. We were downgraded to the King Suite in the old part of the hotel. We objected but were told if wanted a suite with sea view we would have to pay $300 Euro p/n when in fact we had paid only around half this amount. Even though we knew this story to be BS we were tired & reluctantly retreated to the room. It was spacious and had a comfortable bed decorated in old style Turkish but looked nothing like the pictures of the room we booked and of course no sea view. To add insult to injury we had a malfunction with the shower which required staff to clean up a flooding mess and send a technician to repair. Window furnishings were not block out. As our flight was at 1:40am we had additionally booked a day room. After our second complaint management reluctantly upgraded us for 8 hours to the beautiful Executive Suite. This however only brought home what we had missed out on the previous two nights!

They arranged a ride from and to the airport and it was very comfortable. The front desk staff and manager were extremely helpful and kind when we needed assistance. The room was better than the pictures. The breakfast was excellent with amazing views. The breakfast staff was friendly and helpful especially Mohammed. The pool and steam room were wonderful. The cleaning staff were all smiles and helpfulness. This part of the Sultanamet was quiet yet very close to everything. We loved this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were welcoming and made us feel right at home. The hotel is clean, full of character, and perfectly located just a short walk from many historic sites. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very good and a great way to start the day. We recommend this place!

Exceptional!!

Absolutely loved everything about our stay at this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and a most warm and welcoming space after a very long travel day. We arranged airport transfers through the hotel and couldn’t have been happier with the ease of connecting with the transfer service at the airport, as well as the outstanding and hospitable service we received from the staff at the transportation company. All hotel staff we encountered during our stay were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. Prior to our arrival, we corresponded with Sales and Marketing Manager, Tugba Basar, who helped us in the planning stages of our trip. It was so nice to meet her in person. She was so warm and welcoming and treated us like we were her personal guests. We enjoyed the magnificent breakfast both mornings on the rooftop. The food selection was amazing and delicious, all the while with attentive servers and a beautiful sea view. Enjoyed our morning chats with hostess, Melis Ekinci. We also enjoyed happy hour on the rooftop followed by room service that evening with the most delicious pasta my family has ever tasted! The location of this hotel is perfect…located in the middle of the old city, walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Istanbul and would absolutely book the hotel again for my family!

We had a fantastic stay at Amiral Palace Boutique. The staff went above and beyond and had excellent service. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The spa had great facilities and was spotlessly clean. Although located close to Sultanahment Square it was very quiet

We had a great stay at the Amiral Palace in Istanbul! It is in a great location, located about a 10 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. There are also tons of dining options nearby. The room had more than ample space and a large bathroom, with counter space and storage in the drawers below the sink. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they were always willing to help us with any of our needs! Don’t miss out on the rooftop bar area. It has great views of the waterfront! I’d highly recommend the Amiral Palace for your stay in Istanbul!

Jewel in the Old City

Jewel of a hotel and nicest staff. Rooms wonderful - I recommend a higher floor. Amazing view from the restaurant upstairs.

Nice hotel in the middle of the city center, walkable to all popular tourist spots but quiet for sleep. The hotel arranged transfers to airport and boat tour for us. We had an issue with the air conditioning system but it was rectified quickly. The staff was very responsive and friendly. The breakfast was amazing with gorgeous view

The staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is relatively new and showed nicely. While it is situated within a 5 minute walk from Blue Mosque, the area is very quiet and the rooms come with modern silent windows. The rooftop terrace has great views and is a great place to enjoy breakfast in the morning or a drink/dinner in the evening. On the negative side, the mattresses weren’t as comfortable as I would have liked (not enough support) and the shower head leaked so much that we had to use the wand instead (minor annoyance) and the shower door didn’t close properly (pet leave of mine). Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
