Great house, fabulous location. Within walking distance of diving centers, shops, bars and restaurants - yet away from the bustle. Sunrises from the porch are incredible, but if you don't want to get up that early the sunsets aren't bad either. There is a lot of attention to detail with all of the amenities (USB charging ports in the rooms, better-than-usual quality for kitchen utensils, etc.).

Our whole experience with renting the house and staying there was amazing. Blanca was waiting with a sign at the ferry when we got off. She had a driver take my husband and girlfriend to get a golf cart. The drive came back for me and our friend. We all went back to the house. All very easy and well organized. Blanca went over house rules asked if we had questions and said to call her for anything we needed. The house was amazing and we want to come back to this house again. An outstanding top-notch and pristine two-bedroom / two bathroom appartment, well-equipped large and beautiful kitchen with wooden cabinets and granite countertops, large living room with a comfortable large sofa, high ceilings, a wrap-around wide patio with rocking chairs and breathtaking unobstructed sea views and sun rises. Excellent Utila Retreat

The Coral Ridge House was an excellent choice for our stay in Utila. The property itself is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare our meals as well as a stellar view of the ocean to enjoy while we cooked. The snorkeling right off the back porch was beautiful with lots of Elkhorn and staghorn coral and very colorful fish and sea fans. The location was perfect. Far enough from town so it felt secluded but close enough to easily get to dive shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Utila. Mark and Blanca where very responsive prior to, during and after our stay. Oh, and the sunrise was gorgeous right off the back deck. Very happy with our choice of Coral Ridge House!

Amazing Home

We arrived in Utila with friends and greeted by Blanca and Miranda. After a short tour of the very "rustic" little town they left us at the Coral Ridge House, which is only a few minutes from town. This house was amazing, every amenity you could think of. Top of the line linens, kitchen appliances, furniture. . . and on and on. The views are breathtaking! The reef is right off the front deck. We would swim and snorkel when we weren't diving. The management team they use was fantastic too. They left us with a cell phone in case we had any questions or concerns about anything. We would highly recommend the Coral Ridge House to anyone staying in Utila.

The perfect place.

This is an awesome house. Pleanty of room for 4 people. The view is perfect. The location is close enough to town to walk. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware. We are andvanced snorkelers/free divers. I booked this place with the hopes of going out the back door. The week before, the forecast opened up to 3 days of low wind for our stay. We ended up drift diving to as far as Bando beach, then walking back. We did water caye, neptunes, and an around the island tour with Sunbliss. For all of our trips out, we all agree the diving was stunning and the best of the island out the back door. Spotted eagle rays, moray eel, the list goes on. We had kevlar soled booties from Mako that helped a lot to get into the water safely and quickly. This house and island has now ruined Roatan for us. Thanks! We will be back!

Close to town, and far enough to be quiet.

The Coral Ridge House is beautiful and well designed with 2 spacious bedrooms with ensuites. The beds are very comfortable and there is an extra deck you can enjoy from the bedrooms. The kitchen and living rooms are very well furnished and the open space concept makes it very roomy. The sofas is very comfortable and the kitchen has a little bit of everything to make a meal happen. Bring your own spices as there are none. There is a good blender if you like to make blended drinks and the fridge is a good size one. The deck is huge and very well furnished also. You have to get up early and enjoy the sunrise once at least! We did not get the chance to really snorkel from the property as it was very windy when we stayed. We saw that diving boats were stopping nearby. It has a spot downstairs to wash your snorkel wich can be very handy and the property is very well landscaped and taking care of, daily!

A True Home Away from Home

What am amazing oasis on Utila! My mom, sister and I just returned from a terrific, relaxing girls trip at the Coral Ridge House Main Floor on Utila. This was our 10th time on Utila (can’t get enough of this beautiful island). We have stayed in many houses in the Tradewinds area and I have to say, this was by far my favorite. Unlike most of the houses we have stayed at, this house is really a home. It is nicely decorated with everything that you need. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed cooking several meals there. The location could not be more perfect! The huge wrap-around deck is beautiful and has great rocking chairs and hammocks to enjoy the ocean. The beds were comfortable and we all slept great! We also enjoyed playing several of the games that are in the living room and snuck in a couple of movie nights on Netflix. Mark and Stephen called us soon after we booked to answer any questions we had about the house or the island, which was really a nice personal touch. Blanca is so hospitable and friendly. She met us at the airport and made sure that we had everything we needed while we were on the island. It was such a pleasant experience. In all of our times on the island, we have never stayed at the same house twice. It is a true testament to this beautiful home and the wonderful people who own and manage it, that we are already making plans for another stay! Thank you for everything, Mark, Stephen and Blanca!

While traveling, especially to someplace new and off the beaten path such as Utila, a safe, comfortable, convenient home base is really important to me. Coral Ridge House was all that and SO MUCH MORE! Location was perfect--breezy side of the island, few if any bugs and a SPECTACULAR view of the mainland to the south, the sunrise and the sunset to the east and west. Very quiet save for the constant sounds of the sea just a stones-throw away, but close enough to town to walk, bike or taxi. Beautifully maintained exterior and the interior was lovely, with every comfort of home you could want, need or imagine: CLEAN, beautiful tile floors, sparkling windows everywhere, fans, AC, fresh breezes, comfortable beds, linens and towels, plenty of closet space, fun, tiled showers, FABULOUS kitchen (and I love to cook), spacious dining and living areas with thoughtful art and decorations creating a perfect environment in which to unwind and renew, play and dream. Only problem: I didn't want to leave! All of this said about the property and house, I must say I may have been content ANYWHERE with the guiding hand, wisdom and warm heart of host Blanca. From the moment I met her at the ferry dock where she had a taxi waiting to take us "home", to the moment I said goodbye at the house, where she'd come with a taxi to take me to the airport at 7 am, I felt grateful to her for making everything smooth and enjoyable. She smiled like no one I've ever know, shopped with us, showed us which fish to buy, got us great bicycles--I could go on and on... In summary, this is an exceptional property; these are exceptional people!

Amazing Overall

This was the perfect place for us to get away from it all!! The house was equipped with everything you need and more. It was definitely a home away from home. The view from the back porch is still amazing to see the mountain range of Honduras. From booking to arriving everything was communicated well. Blanca is the perfect manager on the island and very responsive to any needs or help you may need. The house is on the side of the island you want to be if you want to be close to town. It's close enough but you still want a golf cart for easy access into town. Met many friendly locals that we can't wait to visit next year! Utila is definitely the place to visit for a small island vibe. Already counting down the days till next year!!

Beautiful house top spot for snorkeling

Beautiful home, very well maintained garden and pest controls etc. Great facilities outside when you are coming out of the sea to rinse off equipments and to shower. This house is located in front of one of the most beautiful settlement of coral rocks in the Carribean sea. There is an immense garden with rows and rows of coral rocks. We spent ten days snorkeling there and enjoyed every minutes of it. Wonderful view on the Gulf of Honduras from the living room and the balconies that encircled the whole house. But the best is the great service that we received from the local manager Blanca that provided outstanding services for transportation, did a grocery shopping for us since we arrived late on the weekend and made sure everything was back in service rapidly when there was a power outage on Sunday afternoon. The island has great food stores, bakeries, and a few good restaurants. The people are very nice and the overall place is unique.

The setting and location is outstanding for diving, relaxing and snorkeling.

The facility is quite nice and the access to snorkeling was our favorite feature. The kitchen included most everything needed for cooking. The beds are very comfortable and the entire place is clean and groomed. The local host, Blanca, was very helpful in getting our golf cart, initial groceries, and introducing us to the property; and when it was time to leave she provided assistance with a taxi to get us back to the airport and met us there to ensure everything went smoothly. Alton’s Dive Outfitter was just a 5 minute ride at most and we dove with them during the week. Our group of four doesn’t think there could have been a better place to stay, nor could it have been possible to have a better dive boat/crew to dive with. We highly recommend Coral Ridge as an awesome place to stay!!!!

First time in Utila!!

Everything about this beautiful home and the rental process was wonderful! Very easy to communicate with owners prior to arrival and once we arrived Blanca was so helpful (stocked the house with requested essentials, met us at ferry dock, was available if we needed anything throughout stay), although the house is so well equipped we didn't need or want for anything. Coral Ridge house is beautiful, inside and outside and so comfortable (the beds!!) and the kitchen has absolutely everything you need (most impressive were the good quality and SHARP knives - which we never find at rental homes). By far the best part is the patio - the comfy rocking chairs and hammocks, the ocean breeze and THE VIEWS!! Honestly the best on the island and we enjoyed our time on the patio day and night. Outdoor shower and gear washing station were also so appreciated and convenient for shore dives and snorkeling. We really can't say enough about how much we loved staying at Coral Ridge House - and now we totally understand why our daughter came to Utila 6 months ago and hasn't come home yet. We can't wait to come back again soon!

Very nice villa.

Villa is almost new, well maintained, clean, and very nicely decorated. We particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen... an abundance of high quality pots and pans, mixing bowls, and tupperware... much better than you find in most rental villas. The villa is a nice compromise of being out in the quieter Trade Winds subdivision, but only a 10 min walk to the start of the "town" area. It is right on the ocean with a nearly constant easterly wind providing a cool breeze on the deck and welcoming surf action. Also, the deck has high quality solid wood rocking chairs enhancing the outdoor usability and ambiance. Blanca is the local property manager and was extremely prompt in answering any of our questions or helping with special requests.

Fabulous, beautiful, well appointed, comfy.

My husband and I have stayed in the lower studio apartment previously. I was returning to Utila with a gal pal and we opted for two bedroom. We were so not disappointed! Perfection!!!!!

I cannot say enough about our experience at this beautiful home on Utila! To say the owners were accmmodating would be an understatement! So very easy to work with and extremely hospitable. The house is FABULOUS! It has everything we needed to for our stay, and more. It is very comfortable and spacious. The porch and hammocks are awesome! The view from the porch is breathtaking! Blanca, the property manager on the Island, is incredible. She met us at the ferry, and from then to the end of our stay was in communication with us every day, and was there for us if we needed anything. Especially the first couple of days, we did not make it to the Island with our luggage, so Blanca was a huge help to us getting our essentials. She is an absolute Gem! The owners provided us with a wealth of information about the island in a notebook; places to visit, wonderful restaurants, etc. If we could give this property 10 stars, we would! We can't wait to go back! Thank you Mark, Stephen, and Blanca!!

Paradise!

Mark, Stephen and Blanca have put together a vacation home package you do not want to miss; in fact, it is a package to be modeled. Contact with Mark and Stephen is quick and complete, from initial e-mail inquiry to follow-up telephone contact. And Blanca -- pre-arrival e-mails are answered within a few hours, and on-site telephone calls, with the provided mobile telephone, are answered immediately; Blanca has the answer to any question you can think of. Blanca had all of the pick-up arrangements ready when we arrived at the Utila Aeroporto, including a prompt transport into town (with a quick stop at the local grocery store (Bush's) for a few items), before delivery to the Coral Ridge House .. and what a house. Ten metres separates you from the launching point to three amazing dive sites, only eighty-or-so metres off-shore. The inside of the house is splendidly furnished, from the deep-pile throw rug in the living room area, to the locally-sourced wood kitchen cabinets and granite counter-tops, complete with appliances and utensils, from a six-burner gas stove, to a blender for your drinks. And, we cannot forget to mention the memory foam mattresses in the bedrooms, and the walk-in shower in the master bathroom, beach towels, linens, tile floors... the list goes on-and-on. Mark and Stephen have done a great job in providing a jumping-off point to 'fun-in-the-sun', with the location of the house to Utila Town activities, front door diving, and a heart-pounding living-room theatre set-up, with internet and satellite access to loads of entertainment. As advertised, the house is just far enough removed from town to wind-down and enjoy peace and serenity, yet within a 15 minute walk to be in town-center (five minute ride in the local cab, a 'tuk-tuk'. The whole house has air conditioning, but other than for sleeping, the Tradewind breeze keeps the house comfortable during the day and evenings, with the added benefit of seeing and hearing the ocean through the double french doors, which line the beachfront side of the house; a view with 180 degree visibility of the ocean. Better than any pre-packaged resort vacation. Absolutely, outstanding; thank you ever so much!
