Unfortunately we had a big problem, my company booked two rooms as we were brining a very sick man man back to the US for Costa Rica, we hired a Nurse from the nearby Hospital to stay with him during the stay, and even though we registered the nurse with her hospital credentials at the reception, when she arrived the staff at the desk treated her like a working girl (prostitute) she was extremely upset as was i and my staff. they even said it was there "policy" to charge for these girls to stay in the room. the next day the daytime manager that was aware of the sick mans status was extremely apologetic to all involved but i would not recommend staying at this hotel at all.

Super close to airport (so expect quite a bit of airport noise). We waited an hour for the free shuttle to arrive after arriving in San Jose. Shuttles for other hotels came multiple times while we waited, so I don't think it was a traffic issue - but getting the shuttle back to the airport was quick & easy. Staff at the front desk were pleasant :) The gym was clean & cool!

As always the Hampton Inn by the San Jose airport was a pleasure to visit. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the facility is so close to the airport with shuttle service. It is my go to place when flying in or out of San Jose.
