Nice but lacking

The home was nice, but it states that it sleeps 9. I'm guessing that means an air mattress-we found one, but it had holes that someone had attempted to tape. And no sheets for the air mattress. The mattress on the full bed was incredibly saggy in the middle. The grill was terribly rusty and the host did not include propane.

Basic but OK

The furnishings and kitchen show a lot of wear. There were weird blankets or covers just wadded up and thrown in the closets - although it appeared clean it was not sparkling clean. The walls have marks all over and really need a paint job. The bedrooms are not very plush in their bedding and two of the beds are too high. The master bedroom bed is almost four feet high - we had to get a step ladder in order to get in and out of the bed. This place is OK but could definitely use some sprucing up and nicer bedding with comforters or bedspreads - not just a blanket - and just overall made to look better and more inviting. We were concerned about the entry code because of what it was we were concerned that it probably isn't changed in between tenants and that any former tenant could easily have returned and gained entry.

Not stocked with Essentials

The house appeared clean but it simply was not stocked for guests. We (5 females) planned to stay for 2 nights and had only 3 towels for everyone to share. Even for 3 guests (the VRBO default setting), that would have been inadequate because people use more than one towel. The beds had no top sheets. There were no pillows, blankets, or linens for the pullout or air mattress, let alone extra of someone got cold. The remotes for the ceiling fans were all on the same frequency, so you couldn't turn your fan on without turning on the one in the neighboring bedroom. There was only 1 garbage bag, so we just had to stack trash by the can (yuck). There were only 2 dish towels and no oven mits, so don't get the dish towels wet before needing to remove anything from the oven. The host was totally unresponsive to messages (still has not responded to my concerns 48+ hours later) and did not get us our access info by check-in time. Starting to think the host did not know we were coming at all... not a welcoming experience.

Hope things improve

When we first got there it seemed great until we noticed how poor it was cleaned. There were food smears on the walls. A coffee filter had been left in and growing mold. A previous occupant had spilled soda or something to that nature in the freezer... not cleaned up. The TV in the back bedroom was busted. It looked like someone had kicked it. I messaged the owner because I didn't want to get charged for something we did not do and he never messaged me back. There was inadequate blankets for 9 people. Also, when one of us turned a light and fan on in the middle of the night every rooms lights and fans came on waking everyone else. One bed was too high in one bedroom. It's hard for older folks to climb into something like that. The mattresses were hard as bricks. It was not an enjoyable stay.

Owner canceled less than 24 hrs prior to stay

With less than 24 hrs prior to our stay, the owner sent us an email cancelation leaving us with no where to stay. Extremely disappointing since we had booked this many weeks ago. Because of big events in town, there were no other homes and we were forced to stay in 3 hotel rooms.

Nice house but needs attention

Overall the house was nice and exactly as described. As we settled in we started to notice lots of staining and scuffs on the walls in certain places throughout the house. It seemed like a lot of utensils to eat or cook with needed to be cleaned, the fridge wasn't super clean on the inside either. You can also tell there have been partying issues since theres a couple cameras outside the house and the house just seemed like it had been beaten up since it was built just a little over a year prior to our stay. All in all its a nice property.

Do not recommend

The house itself was nice and clean. We never received check in information. Had to call Vrbo to get access to the house. Once we arrived we realized the toilet in the master bathroom was broken. We let the house owner know right away and he said it would be fixed the next day. It never was. We messaged him daily to ask for it to be fixed and he just stopped responding. We also had asked for the key code to be changed because we didn’t feel it was secure enough. He told us it was changed to the number we wanted, but that also never had changed. The towels were wet when we took them out to use, there weren’t enough for the guests we had staying there. The house itself is nice, but be prepared for any problems you have to not be resolved during your stay.

Excellent Stay - New Home

We had a great time at this home. My wife, daughter, and I stayed at this property for several days on a mini-getaway in the Indianapolis area. The home is in a new subdivision with many other new homes. It was a quiet neighborhood and we had no worries about safety. We were about 20 minutes from downtown Indy which made it nice to be that close, but not in the actual city. The home itself is not huge but was plenty big enough for our purpose. It has a beautiful kitchen. The bedrooms were nice and they all contained SMART TV's which was great. Overall, a nice experience.
