Set back in a quiet, tree-lined pocket of Incline Village, The Incline Perch is a two-story townhome that leads with the kind of mountain-cabin character that's getting harder to find. The bedrooms sit on the entry level, with a flight of stairs up to the main living area — worth noting for anyone with mobility considerations. At the top, you're met with wood-beamed ceilings, warm wood paneling, and an open living space anchored by a stone-accented fireplace. It's cozy without feeling cramped, and the layout flows naturally from the living room to the dining area, where a table for six invites long, lingering meals.
The fully equipped kitchen handles everything from a quick breakfast before a ski day to a full group dinner after a hike. When you're not cooking, the board game stash and the easy living-room setup make for the kind of nights that stretch on without anyone checking their phone, and the upstairs sofa folds out into an extra bed when the group runs one over. Out on the private balcony, framed by towering pines and mountain views, there's a quiet spot for morning coffee and a good place to land when the day winds down.
Downstairs, all three bedrooms sit together for a quiet night's sleep. The king ensuite is a proper retreat with its own full bathroom, while two additional bedrooms — each with a full bed — share a second full bath. A half bath rounds out the layout, and an in-unit washer and dryer covers the practical side, so you can pack lighter and stay longer.
The location does a lot of work here. Diamond Peak is minutes up the road for winter skiing and summer mountain biking, with some of the best lake views of any resort in the basin. Sand Harbor is a short drive south for those famously clear Tahoe waters, and the East Shore Trail runs the same stretch on foot or by bike, past Hidden Beach and the granite coves that make this side of the lake worth the trip. Tunnel Creek Trail climbs to Monkey Rock for a big payoff on a short hike, and the Incline Village Tennis & Pickleball Center — open to the public in season — is a fun way to round out a Tahoe afternoon. Crystal Bay and Kings Beach add shops and dining a few minutes west, with Truckee close enough for an easy day trip. Powder days, lake days, or a stretch of doing very little: this is a comfortable place to run all three from.
