Birdwatcher's retreat. Beautiful home in the heart of Imperial Beach next to a nature preserve. This casually elegant home is perfectly situated, with the Tijuana River Estuary Nature Preserve and boardwalk just across the street, the beach only one and a half blocks West, and IB’s unique coffee shops, restaurants and shops right around the corner within easy walking distance. The view from the front porch and living room will put your heart at ease. The front and back gardens both have bird bath fountains that attract many of the local birds, so you can birdwatch while you have your coffee on the front porch or back patio. The gardens are designed to be wildlife habitats, and they provide food, water, shelter and nesting sites for IB’s smallest, native inhabitants. The Monarch butterflies frequent these gardens to lay their eggs that hatch into the next generation. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and sitting room with a gas fireplace. It also has its own desk/office space, with a sliding glass door opening onto the back patio. The guest bedroom, located just off the kitchen, has its own bathroom, work desk, and PlayStation 4. The living room/dining room open area has an unobstructed view of the Tijuana River Estuary. At night, the lights of Mexico twinkle in the distance. All rooms have their own mini-split a/c units with remote controls. The kitchen has plenty of counter and cupboard space as well as a coffee bar. We are child friendly and dog friendly. The yard is fully fenced. We want you to be comfortable and happy in our special home. This house is only available during the summer months.
