It was a nice weekend getaway in the mountains. The room itself was fine but it’s seen better days. The shower is too small. My husband is 6ft tall and had a hard time maneuvering in there. The room has a cool theme with dark metallic ceiling and very vintage, with old books, a chandelier, typewriter, etc. Super cute theme, but it all felt a bit tight. No windows overseeing the mountains. This particular room is in the corner so the two small windows face the fence. There’s a sky light over the bed, so be ready to have light in your room early. This location was at the Strawberry Creek Inn, which had access to a very nice hike along the creek. Very family friendly hike. Check in and out were very easy and people are super friendly. Would stay there again but try a different room.

Stayed in the Gentleman room (forgot the full name). Decorations were fun, but bathroom was tiny. Shower was pretty claustrophobic due to how the shower head was installed. Nice walking path to town.

Clean cabins, staff were friendly. They are located at the center of town so it’s very walkable. You do not need to drive unless you’re going on hikes. We stayed at the 1 bed room new Rustic cabins. Was the perfect size for 3 people. I love that they have a kitchen with all the kitchen tools and equipment you will need. They also have a mini fridge for your stay and a microwave.

Nice stay on an overnight in Idyllwild

For Labor Day, my husband and I took a little road trip to Idyllwild and stayed at Strawberry Creek Inn. At first, I accidentally booked at Idyllwild Inn, but Terry at the front desk kindly redirected us, it was just a quick 2–3 minute drive. We checked in around 5pm, and even though the office was closed, they left clear instructions and photos, which made it easy. The place is cozy, rustic, and charming, surrounded by pine trees. It really feels like a relaxing mountain getaway. The room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator, but since we only stayed overnight, it wasn’t a problem, we brought a cooler for our food and drinks. They do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, hair dryer, and a TV. There’s also a jacuzzi, fireplace, and a cute trail where you might spot deer and squirrels. Breakfast isn’t included, but restaurants are nearby. We left early the next morning and just left a voicemail since the office was closed; payment went through automatically with no issues. Overall, it was a peaceful, simple, and enjoyable stay. Perfect for a quick getaway in a cozy mountain town.

It was advertised as Idyllwild inn. Then they sold out and sent us down the street to strawberry inn a sister inn. Be careful when booking it is hidden in the advertising as off campus. It was sneaky and we did t notice when booking. Read advertisement carefully.

Terrible Stay.

It was terrible, I booked a stay at the Mountain View room and when I checked in they changed my room to a sunset room way smaller not all the amenities the room I paid for had. When we asked the checking lady about that she said talk to our booking agent. I paid the same price that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law paid for two other rooms larger than mine. It had two chairs in this room old rocking chairs one of them you couldn't sit in cuz all it did is creep and you thought it was going to come apart. The pillows on the chairs had stains on them. The door lean into the room itself had a 1 inch Gap under it and you could see daylight. The blinds for the window had a 1-inch gap on both sides of them so sun came in in the morning and blinded us when we were trying to sleep
