I will start by saying the staff was really nice and as helpful as they could be. The breakfast was great.
However when I was booking this hotel, the website said recently renovated, but it was just starting to be renovated. There were materials and drywall and paint all over the floors as soon as you walk in and wasn’t cleaned up the 3 days we were there. The fire alarm was set off accidentally by the renovators which woke up and forced everyone to evacuate into the cold early morning.
Housekeeping made our beds, but didn’t replace dirty towels that were on the floor or clean anything else for that matter.
There was a creepy hole in our ceiling, no USC charging capabilities, and the worst part was the sound of the highway right outside the window.
It made it really difficult to get some rest with cars and trucks driving by all hours of the night.
The shower curtains were really gross and old. didn’t keep water in, and the floors were dingy and gross looking in the bathroom. The phone didn’t work at all in the room, there was no way to call the front desk or call for help in an emergency.
There were complimentary cookies, tea and coffee in the lobby which we enjoyed.
Overall it was ok, but not as advertised in the photos at all.
