Bridgefoot is a beautiful 17th century cottage situated in the Peak District. Guests have full use of the property including a modern, fully equipped kitchen, perfect for entertaining. There is also an exceptionally comfy and cozy sitting room, equipped with 2 sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) a log burner and a Smart TV. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious four poster bed and an ensuite bathroom. Next door is a spacious second bedroom with two comfortable single beds.
The stunning garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside views, either from the hot tub or seated at the table on the stone patio. For the more adventurous guests there is the option of cold water swimming in the River Derwent, which lays at the bottom of the garden steps.
The house is perfectly situated within a cluster of stone houses on narrow lanes, nestled beneath the mighty gritstone spectacle of Froggatt Edge. The surrounding area contains numerous walking routes and keen climbers and hikers will enjoy the close proximity to the famous ‘nine edges’ that run along the Hope Valley.
There are several dog-friendly local country pubs within a short stroll of the cottage, all serving wonderful food in serene surroundings. In the adjacent village of Calver there is an award winning farm shop, several cafes, a local art gallery and many other local amenities.
Please be aware that there is only one private parking space. There is plenty of other parking on the side of the road opposite the private space.
