Beachfront paradise: Spectacular views, huge deck, central location, backup gen!

This was the first home situated on this secluded stretch of White Sound beach, built in 1982. The home and its grounds have been maintained and updated periodically and, since its construction, has been fit with all the modern amenities, including a backup generator. Over the years, time and storms have pushed the shoreline closer and closer to the property, offering uniquely spectacular views from the front porch. The property is situated perfectly between the charming village of Hopetown and the serene white sands of Tahiti beach, with bars, restaurants, and shopping in between. Although this is a walker's paradise, the island is dominated by golf carts - which is not currently included with the house but can be rented from a number of nearby companies. The 2nd level of St. Somewhere is a surrounded by windows, offering a 360 degree views of the island and its beauty. The expansive front deck is excellent for spreading out and relaxing with a drink and good book, or for enjoying meals 'with a view'. New beds/linens/towels, living area and kitchen updated in 2022!

We had a great stay overall and really enjoyed our time at the property.The house has a lot going for it—unbelievable views, excellent beach access, and a location close to great restaurants and the market. It’s also refreshing that this isn’t one of the ultra-modern, cookie-cutter homes taking over many of the islands. It has a more classic, relaxed island feel, which made for a great family trip.The host was outstanding—very responsive, easy to communicate with, and helpful in every way. My wife accidentally left her purse behind, and he quickly arranged to have it shipped back to us. He also recommended a golf cart company and pointed us to a nearby private dock just minutes away. The dock was a bit expensive but absolutely worth it for the convenience.The house was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the stack washer/dryer was a great bonus.A few areas could be improved. The kitchen and bathrooms feel dated for the price point. The hurricane shutters were the biggest issue—they are very loud even in a light breeze and led to multiple sleepless nights. The deck loungers were great, but without cushions (we were told to use towels), they were very uncomfortable.Overall, a beautiful location with a fantastic host—just needs a few updates to be excellent.

This was our second year at St. Somewhere. It is a lovely beach house with amazing views. We love the wraparound deck for lounging and the outdoor dining area is great for morning coffee with a view. The house is nicely furnished with lots of seating, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped.Jeff is a great host, very welcoming and responsive. We hope to return again to this "beachfront paradise"

Visiting Hope Town for my son's destination wedding was a dream come true. The home was perfect, and Jeff, the caretaker, was outstanding with his communication and knowledge. Great View

St Somewhere was perfect for our vacation to Elbow Cay. The deck and the oceanfront view are the best parts of the house, and even though the beach isn’t swimmable, it’s absolutely beautiful to walk on, and we loved exploring and finding calmer sandy beaches where we could swim. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to cook. Stopping at Maxwells in Marsh Harbour was a great suggestion made by our host, and then there are a couple of small convenience stores near the house to replenish basics. All beds were very comfortable and the living room has a comfy sofa as well. The maximum cool temp for AC is 74, so if you prefer it cooler this might not be your spot. We managed but it did feel warm at times. But honestly, everything else we loved about the house made it worth it and the deck always had a wonderful breeze. We had one small maintenance issue come up and our host took care of it very promptly, sending someone immediately to the house.

St Somewhere delivers

If you cannot relax with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise and ocean view, you never will. St Somewhere was as described. Having visited the Bahamas numerous times, I was impressed the new appliances, water pressure for showers and the AC. All excellent. Great spot.

Love at First Sight

Wow! We were totally blown away by St. Somewhere. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. We loved the casual cottage style with a spectacular view from every window. There were so many thoughtful amenities throughout the house. We loved having a washer/dryer, beach towels and colorful throws to use on the outside deck. Wi-Fi was high speed and AC worked well.The house is centrally located - a quick bike or golf cart ride into Hope Town as well as the restaurants and grocery stores on the island. Jeff helped us arrange a ride from the ferry dock and provided us with all the check-in information in advance. We will be back!!!

What a view!

Jeff, thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! My family and I had a wonderful stay! The house is perfect for a family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed, the a/c was cold and fans in all the rooms helped keep things cool. Location was perfect-in the middle between Hope Town and Tahiti Beach! The new Sea Spray marina was also close. Mackeys, where you could get homemade baked goods, breads and breakfast sandwiches and coffee was down the street. My favorite part of the house was the back deck. You can watch sunrise and sit in the Adirondack chairs and listen to the ocean and watch the surfers. My family and I also did our morning yoga stretches there! At night you can see every star in the sky! Just beautiful! Jeff was super attentive and answered all my texts immediately. Check in was easy. Jeff also provided us with transport from dock to the house. Jeremy was on time and reliable. We will most definitely be back!

Wow what a place! The view from the balcony is phenomenal. We so enjoyed being here. The house is well stocked and just lovely. Waking up to the sun and the waves...there is nothing like it. Our crew loved this house. So convenient to everything. We would definitely stay again if 6 of us go!

St. Somewhere's location can not be beat. Having the ability to sit in the living room and look out at the many colors of the Atlantic Ocean, even on a rainy day, is priceless. The beach is beautiful and clean. Hopetown, Tahiti Beach, grocery stores and restaurants are all close by. The house is clean and comfortable. Th kitchen is well stocked. The owner, Jeff, responded immediately to all of my texts. We lost power during a storm and the backup generator did not come on. I texted Jeff and he had someone there to fix the situation within 10 minutes. We are returning. We booked the same week again next year!

Great Property and amazing location

Checked in on a Friday and checked out the following Friday. We stayed with another couple and the layout of the house is great for this. Elevated view of the beach provides amazing views all times of the day. We were given instructions via email mail and text prior to our arrival and property manager is quick to reply. Definitely recommend!

A dream vacation and Paradise Found!

First let me say the pictures on VRBO do not do this property justice.. it is a little bit of heaven and more. The ocean views at night and coffee on the beach deck in the morning are both tranquil and rewarding. Sea turtles laid eggs on the beach every night we were there. It was fun to see their tracks every morning. The entire property is super clean! The two downstairs master bedrooms are very comfortable and accommodating with full size closets. The third bedroom loft hosts the best view, but staircase may be a challenge for some :) The rest of our group stayed at the Marina with our boats and we were all so happy to come back to this beautiful property every night. Book a golf cart early as they are tough to get, but don’t worry if you don’t get one. We opted for taxi service which was quick and extremely accommodating. Not having to drive, was a treat. I can tell you the owners have put everything into this property. I can’t say enough about their hospitality at all times. Completely satisfied and would 100% book again. Thank you for sharing such an amazing place!!!!

Beyond dreamy!

This is the most beautiful property ever! We were blessed to be there with a full moon and lots of storms to watch coming over the water and the views are spectacular! I cannot say enough about how helpful Jeff, the property manager was for us, it was our first time to the Abacos and we had a lot of questions! He was very responsive and helpful when we needed it! The power went off and there is a property manager who came to help try the generator! The house is exactly as described, comfortable and nice linens! The bathrooms are original, I think but everything was clean and worked perfectly! Very close to Firefly and Abaco Inn, the grocery and On Da Beach, and Tahiti beach! We expired the beach in front of the house but did not swim. All in all, we are counting days to return and the view and location of this property cannot be beat! Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Cozy Beach House with Stunning Ocean View

I stayed at St. Somewhere last week with my husband and another couple for four nights. The location is perfect. A short golf cart ride to the settlement, marinas and restaurants. The house was spotless and the accommodations were super comfortable. The ocean view was stunning! Jeff went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He recommended the golf cart and boat rental companies that were very reliable and affordable. I highly recommend St. Somewhere!
