This is a great place with a wonderful staff and a formidable restaurant. The room was clean, spacious and pretty, and everything had been arranged very thoughtfully. Highly recommended - and don’t forget to try their restaurant!

This is a quality hotel. Our standard room, which was on the second floor, accessible by lift, was spacious with a very comfortable double bed. In addition to a excellent walk in shower, it had a separate toilet. It has an excellent location, being on the main square and within walking distance of the major sites, including the harbour. It is only a ten minute walk to the train station. The hotel has a quality restaurant and a comfortable outside tree/plant lined seating area. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help and offer advice. A truly enjoyable stay

Hotel Ysbrantsz exceeded our expectations in terms of spaciousness of the room, friendliness of staff, and the beauty of the outdoor terrace and dining area. The special Mother's Day prix fixe dinner was outstanding. Hoorn, likewise, exceeded our expectations, and is a town we would go back to in a heartbeat. Much recommended!

Lovely hotel, would definitely stay here again. Ambiguous pre-arrival info: check-in time is 8am-5:30pm but that is to “check-in” not to get into your room. We couldn’t access the room until 3pm. It would have been better for us had the booking info stated check in between 3pm-5:30pm. Nice position. We liked to use the entrance around the back through the garden rather than off the main square and through the restaurant. Decent room and immaculately clean shower area. The lack of door between the shower/washroom and the bedroom was slightly disconcerting (the toilet is separate… and has a door). Pantry in the corridor with free fruit and drinks was a nice touch. Beer/wine/snacks were available as a payable option. Breakfast is pre-selected off a grid of options the night before. It was minimalistic and I would probably opt to eat out next time. And I think there will be a next time, Hoorn has plenty to keep visitors occupied and the Ysbrantsz is definitely worth another stay.
