We were greeted by the ownerwith an explanation of how to access the fuse board if the power went off. Sure enough, as soon as we tried the kettle,the power tripped. This happened twice so we plugged it in in the lounge. Didn't feel terribly safe to be honest. The central heating was off but there were electric heaters in the bedroom and lounge. No heating in the bathroom. The fridge is rusty, as is the cooker top. Overall it was ok but the power issue really needs sorting. The owner's clearly aware as he told us about it but didn't respond to my email when we left explaining why we'd moved the kettle. I'm not one for negative reviewing generally but feel people need to know about the power issue here. Also, there's no handle on the inside of the living room door so don't close it!

Amazing place to stay. Very comfortable and so clean. A great welcome. Highly recommend staying here and we will go back.

Terrific location. Just off the beaten track and with a lovely circular countryside walk from the property. Farm animal based petting facilty if required.Relaxed venue for a couple.
