Stayed for two nights, didn’t make the bed or replace tissues in the bathroom despite me leaving the box out to see. In room dining selection is very limited to a hotel of this class, I was disappointed as I expected more.

Nice clean hotel. Front desk staff excellent and very helpful. Rooms are a lot smaller than it appears on their website. It worth upgrading to a Deluxe room. Otherwise they feel quite claustrophobic. Watch out for the Credit Card surcharge at nearly 2%. They don't warn you of this when you check in.

The property is in a great location, walking distance to all the food and attractions within the area. We loved the touch of warm cookie on arrival and water in our room. However if you have a car, parking is a nightmare the hotel charge $35 a night to park your car, otherwise you have to find street parking which is metered. We opted to park in the Village car park for $25 per night instead. House keeping never emptied our bins/rubbish our entire stay (5 nights) which was really strange and meant we had a pile of rubbish by the end of our stay. We also found the billing process quite strange, on arrival you are asked to pre authorise the total amount for your stay plus a $300 deposit which is fine. However when you depart instead of just processing the amount they already preauthorised they then make another transaction with the final amount meaning your money is held and it looks like you have been charged twice. This was not explained to us on check out so when we questioned a staff member about this they were very rude. For these reasons we would not stay here again, which is ashame as the hotel was really nice.

Sadly this will be the last time we stay at Double Tree. The past two times despite booking a Deluxe room we've been shoved in to room 628. The smallest room I've ever had the displeasure of staying in. Sure it's clean and the view is great but I can touch all 4 walks while getting dressed. And why they insist in putting a table in the room is beyond me. You can't use it. You can't get past it. Just leave it out. But the main reason I won't stay again is the parking. Why build a hotel with 206 rooms and only allow for 40 car spots? We arrived at 3:09pm, 9 min after check in opened only to be told there was no parking available because they'd had a huge number of early check ins. I'd be forced to find parking somewhere in the CBD. After viewing the map of spots around the hotel given to me by the concierge I parked near by only to come out the next morning to find a ticket for $50. Great hotel let down by terrible parking. Never again.

I liked that I could relax very comfortably in the lovey room and the bed was very comfortable, and had a large flat screen tv that could screen netflix from your phone to the tv, but didn't like that you had to pay $35 a day for parking!

It's a Hilton property and with that attracts a certain 'ego'. If you are not a Hilton awards member you really are a second class citizen. Oh and $35 per night parking in a small regional location is perhaps a little rich dont you think? Upside - the beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Convenient location with a sky bus stop just in front. Breakfast was the same spread each day and needs a face lift to give guests more variety. Coffee machine is luke warm and bread/pastry section was ordinary. Staff were friendly allowing early check in. Rooms well presented. Sauna was nice but bathrooms could have shampoo/conditioner or shower gel.

Not happy

It was like being in a rich person’s prison but there wasn’t even any decent tv channels the room was tiny I honestly felt trap it was that small and for what I paid for the room I really wasn’t happy we couldn’t even go to the pool, every time we tried it was full off kids even at 8.30 pm still full of kids they need an adult only time on the pool and gym honestly the only nice thing I have to say is staff was very friendly
