Exuding an ambience of relaxed country-style luxury with exposed brick walls, soaring timber panelled/beamed ceilings plus giant spreads of glass capturing leafy outlooks at every turn, it features an enormous living space with two three-seater lounges and connects to a huge bay window study with desk, computer monitor and keyboard plus a family and meals area with lounge seating, six seat dining table, cosy slow combustion fireplace and heated hydronic flooring throughout ensuring its snug and cosy all year round.

Sliding glass doors open to an extensive covered entertainers’ terrace with an alfresco dining table and seating, overhead strip heaters and a barbecue.

The open plan kitchen is crafted to complement the cosy country-style aesthetic and features a s/steel dishwasher plus appliances and utensils to satisfy all your cooking requirements.

There’s four bedrooms (sleeps 9), three bedrooms downstairs with two double beds plus a double bed with a single bunk on top and the main bedroom upstairs with a double bed, ensuite and dreamy views over the bushland to the bay and mountains beyond.

Additional features include a glass atrium with a second fully fitted study desk, modern bathrooms, modern bathrooms that include a bath, laundry with washer , slate flooring on the entry level and timber flooring upstairs, pebbled area with a bush view fire-pit, level lawns and cubby house for the kid’s to play as well as off street parking

Managed by a specialist Airbnb company, it is professionally cleaned after each guest vacates and all the sheets and bedding is maintained by a contract linen supplier.

The Neighborhood:
Only 20 minutes along the Channel Highway from the Hobart CBD, seven minutes from Kingston Beach and 15 minutes to the ferry at Kettering to Bruny Island, the location is central to all of the attractions with a few local surprises thrown in as well.

The town is built by a sheltered bay with the Derwent River meets the Southern Ocean and offers your basic shopping needs and a few restaurants and takeaways, but the rear draw card is The Margate Train. A 1950’s steam train that’s carriages have been converted into a trendy retail outlet with arts and crafts, bric-a-brac, a microbrewery and a buffet car offering espresso coffee and pancake parlour. There’s also a huge antique warehouse and second-hand shop there, located in an old IXL apple packing shed, as well as a children's play area, toilets, baby change facility and plenty of car parking.

The renowned Brookfield Markets are only a few minutes’ drive away. Located in the beautiful grounds of the Brookfield Shed, they’re open every Saturday between 10am and 2pm and offer crafts, clothing, plants and garden ware as well as brekky and lunch.

The Inverawe Native Gardens and Nandroya Winery are located close by to the town, and it’s also within close proximity of numerous wilderness hiking trails.

Day trips to Hobart are super easy, there’s plenty of free parking around the city. Kingston Beach is cruisy little seaside town just up the road and is worth the trip for major shopping, seaside eateries and a walk on the beach.

Nestled in a cul-de-sac and completely enveloped by natural bushland, it provides a tranquil escape that’s central to everything

Other Things to Note:
The property is in a bush setting, so you are likely to have interaction with the local wildlife. This can be a wonderful experience however please be mindful that this is their habitat and that it is better to watch and observe than get too close or to feed them.

Firewood provided in Winter only, and guests should exercise care when using the wood burner. The homes hydronic heater is very efficient so you will always be warm
