Under renovation

Understand desperately needs renovation but still paying 5 star price for very tired room which was smaller and less comfortable than room across the road which was a quarter of price. Much better value in Vietnam

Nice Location but NOISEY

Pros: The location, Pool & Lounge area.
Cons: The pool service staff could be improved as the staff basically just walk around but fail to ask or look at you for what you may require.
Location: I appreciate the location there is also the Catwalk bar next door which provides live band after 9.30pm.
Always stay here in residence level this time had a room for the 9 nights but which was always traffic noisy. The Hotel failed to check my mini bar & charged me 3 days later for VND99,000 for a packet of chips & oreos, I can't believe it as it took 15minutes to check out & they didn't check the mini bar OR even ask me, very bad experience maybe staff need training. I will now look at another Hotel as I visit HCM regularly but need quieter room & better customer service.

Great location

It’s getting a bit old dont like the old bath tub shower set up but great location and staff very efficient great gym and sauna facilities good pool

Frequent Visitor HCM

Pros: Location is OK I'm a business traveller & it's central to my requirements.
Cons: Late Check out , The lobby music is very boring at times . The menu in the lower restaurant is a little expensive.
Location: Nearby is the plaza in walking distance & has the park across the road.
I have stayed at the New World often & has always been in the Residence Level with the additional services included breakfast, late check out etc of which I'm delighted & comfortable. On my last occasion they never had room for me & I received a standard type room without late checkout . Without being on the Residence level & receiving the additional benefits the New World is very much the same as any other 4 star. I will only ever stay there when the Residence Level & additional services are available to me.

Good Pleasant Experience

Pros: Location was very good for us . The ATM in the lobby was very handy. The breakfast was nice.
Cons: The cost for the restaurant food was to high however the meals were very well presented good quality.In room internet/WIFI is heartbreakingly slow.
Location: Walking distance to the shopping mall, cafes & across the road is a nice enough park for walk.
I elected to pay the extra & go up to the 14th Executive Floor. The room was reasonable size , a little dated however nice & clean . The staff on the 10th Executive floor were very polite, friendly , well spoken English & very informative.

Good stay

We were only here for two nights, it was a good stay. Mai Linh taxi rank right outside the front door makes for easy traveling! Don't order cocktails at the pool bar, extremely overpriced and worst we've had in Vietnam. Other than that we had a good time.

Great location with amazing breakfast

Cons: More sun chairs at the pool. Prices at the pool bar are ridiculous.
We stayed 4 nights at New World and really enjoyed it. We loved to relax at the pool (although it was sometimes a bit too crowded and not enough sun chairs) in the middle of this busy city. The location is really central. The rooms are clean and spacious (deluxe room) and overlook the city. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Great and big breakfast with lots of fresh products - just amazing.
