Owner welcomes you to enjoy High Tide Cottage on Hilton Head Island, a 2 min walk on a private path to Folly Field Beach. The updated and charming cottage is a 2 story comfortable and clean living space in the quiet Folly Field neighborhood. Need a first floor bedroom with a full bath-we have one!!
Five total bedrooms sleep 10 with 3.5 bathrooms. (See layout in pictures) The cottage has 2 ground level Keyless entries, PRIVATE 35' POOL which is heatable (depending on current outside temperature for a $400 fee,) outside dining area, horseshoe pit and charcoal grill, and a fenced yard. The cottage is one dog friendly ($250 fee), close to beach and bike paths, shopping, restaurants, and other entertainment opportunities. Stroll to the ocean to enjoy the beautiful morning sunrise; return at the end of the day to view sandpipers and dolphins. Or, just relax by YOUR OWN PRIVATE POOL and read a good book while enjoying your favorite beverage. Hoping you will enjoy your stay at High Tide Cottage and will become a repeat renter.. We were renters from the prior owners and jumped at the chance to be the current owner- that is how much we loved our time spent at High Tide Cottage!

Great location, nice pool

Review:We really enjoyed our stay! The house is great, though it could use a few upgrades. Loved the location—close to shopping and adventure, yet just a short, easy walk to the beach via a wooded trail. The provided beach cart made carrying gear easier. The pool was clean and refreshing, with a convenient outdoor shower to rinse off. The umbrellas looked new, though the outdoor furniture could use an update. There’s a shed with beach gear, but it’s a bit worn—bring your own if you can.Inside, the living room and beds were comfy (bring your own pillows). The kitchen is small, but it worked fine for light meals. The dishwasher is very old and doesn’t clean well. The large dining table was perfect for group meals and game nights—even a jigsaw puzzle wasn’t in the way. :)Our favorite part was being able to bring our dog! Just note the yard is only partially fenced with some broken slats, so it may not contain a crafty adventure-seeker.With only two TVs in the house (living room and master), it was tricky for our group of 7 when we wanted to watch different things. We ended up buying a cheap smart TV for the week. TVs are so affordable now that adding them to the other four bedrooms would be an easy win and a thoughtful touch for guests.Check-in was smooth and there were no issues that required immediate attention. Overall, the location, comfort, dog-friendliness, and overall vibe made it a great beach getaway, and we would rent here again.

Amazing Vacation

The home was beautiful and clean. Owner was amazing, replied quickly, very kind and wonderful to deal with. I would highly recommend this beautiful home. Only minutes to the beautiful beach, even had a wagon available to carry our things down to the beach.

The perfect home for your family vacation!

We couldn't have been more happy with our stay at the High Tide Cottage. We had five adults and three kids/teens and the home was very spacious and we never felt like we were on top of one another. The kitchen is great and you can have multiple people in there and not be on top of one another. The home is steps away from the beach and the pool was an addition we hadn't had in a vacation home to date that made the getaway even better! Megan was a great host! Easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Great place, amazing location

My sister and I stayed with our families to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. Steps from the beach, the house was large enough to accommodate all of us with a pool that kept my older kids entertained and a mini bedroom that was perfect for my niece’s crib. Everything was clearly explained, as promised, and super clean, so we didn’t need Megan, but I have no doubt that she would be on top of it if we did. Would highly recommend!

Perfect Location

We were down for our sons wedding at the Westin and the cottage was a perfect homebase for our family to enjoy a week together. The cottage was charming and cozy. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The location to the beach and the pool were an added bonus. We will definitely look to stay here again when we return to Hilton Head!

Excellent stay in High Tide Cottage!

Our family of 7 adults and out 55lb dog had a wonderful stay over the Christmas week. Megan was a great host; quick at answering my questions and very accommodating. Although mother nature didn't bring the warmer weather we hoped for we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hilton Head. The cottage had the perfect amount of space for all of us. We relaxed on the sofas and watched TV, did arts and crafts and played games on the large dining table and prepared all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. The location can't be beat! We walked and ran with our dog on Folly Field beach every day and she loved fetching, swimming and playing with the other dogs. The water was calm and the sand was packed and great for walking, running and riding bikes. We explored the area and really enjoyed the Gullah heritage bus tour and riding horses at Lawton Stables. We definitely will stay here again if we travel to Hilton Head in the future!

A beautiful experience

We had the most relaxing trip and very much e joyed our stay here. The house is well appointed with all the comforts of home. Very close to the beach which was never crowded. The pool was lovely and clean. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool. The master bedroom was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. The other beds could use an upgrade in quality but everything was clean. And well maintained. Not having an automatic ice maker in the refrigerator was a bit if a challenge as there was no place very close to buy ice daily. Having a working laundry room was so nice as we did not need to pack as many clothes for the trip! Overall we made some great family memories and really had a beautiful experience!!

Beach Vacation

I was really happy with the property and the location (very close to the beach!). But when we got back home we got an email from a rental insurance company saying that our VRBO stay resulted in the host reporting is for damages (note that we do not owe anything — it’s covered by this insurance, but the insinuation that we broke these items was annoying). I noticed the property had a few odds and ends that needed done (there was a broken chair in the backyard by the pool that we took to the trash area when we arrived, that kind of thing). The host never asked me about these items or asked what happened. I’m not sure how I could have avoided this situation short of reviewing the property and alerting the host of anything amiss. Overall, a very weird experience for such a pricey rental option.

Best Hilton Head Trip ever!

I only wish this beach house was a better kept secret. We loved everything about our stay last week....the short walk to the beach, the wonderful backyard shaded pool and the proximity to shopping and restaurants. These great beach houses seem like they will soon a thing of the past as the mansions are popping up all over. It was perfect for my wife and I and our three adult sons and their guests. Nice, long dining table made for great times in the evenings. I hope we can find an open week here next year!

Beautiful Home in The Perfect Location! Loved It!!!!!!

We loved our stay at the High Tide Cottage. The home was beautiful, and such a great, peaceful beach vibe to it. The large living room and dining area were great for hanging out, playing games, and meals with our family (7 of us)...plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and having our minpin Toby with us was just icing on the cake! We fit very comfortably. The pool area was private and a great place to hangout, and having it heated was wonderful for our winter trip! The location was absolutely perfect. A very short walk to the beach down a pretty pathway, the home is in a quiet, very peaceful neighborhood, and so easy to get to restaurants and shops...just wow. The home had everything we could ask for, making it so easy to come and stay, and Megan (the owner) was very kind, and communicative, and easy to work with, which was helpful as I have never booked a home for a trip like this before...but I went in feeling prepared because of Megan's clear communication with me. Everything about this home and trip was five stars...so thankful for this time and the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home! We hope to return to the High Tide Cottage again!
