Yurt

The yurt was amazing! We highly recommend staying here. The views are outstanding, the yurt and bathroom were clean and beautiful, and we had everything we needed provided to us during our stay. Thanks for opening up your space to us!

Breathtaking Yurt experience under a blanket of a billion stars …

My recent stay at John's Yurt in High Rolls Mountain Park was absolutely breathtaking! Tucked away in a private, quiet, and truly beautiful location, it offered an unparalleled escape. The night sky was simply unbelievable – a blanket of what felt like a billion stars. The yurt itself is a marvel, equipped with everything you could possibly need and surprisingly spacious, never feeling cramped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pull out sofa was too guaranteeing a restful night. We were particularly impressed by the spotless shower and bathroom area, and the incinerating toilet was a brilliant, eco-friendly touch!Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by an unexpected dust storm that closed the interstate, preventing us from reaching the yurt for one of our planned nights. While disappointing, it only fueled our desire to return and enjoy a few more nights in this magical spot.John is an exceptional host; the booking process was seamless, and communication was excellent throughout. An added bonus? It's dog-friendly, so your fur babies can join in the fun! If you're seeking a unique, comfortable, and cozy getaway under an awe-inspiring celestial display, look no further. You won't be disappointed – in fact, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised by this truly enjoyable experience. Kudos to John for creating and sharing such a magnificent place!

Glamping like it should be!

We were looking for something different than another hotel, in natural surroundings but not too rustic. This glamping experience provided just that, it felt exotic! John David thought of everything, from heating, AC, blankets, towels, and complete instructions on using the facilities. There was enough seating indoors and out for all 4 of us. SPECTACULAR views! The futon sleeper was more comfortable than I was expecting. When we had trouble unlocking the door (because we didn’t re-read the instructions) we got an immediate response. We had a front wheel drive van and made it up the steep, windy stone road, but a 4 wheel drive would have helped. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous

This property was stunning, both from the location and the facilities themselves. The tent was charming and cozy with options for cooling off during the warm day and staying warm during the cooler nights. It was fairly easy to find and I had no problems reaching it in my rental car. The view itself was beautiful, both during the day and night. Fantastic glamping experience, highly recommend!

Wonderful!

We stayed here one night on a NM road trip. It was wonderful. The stargazing was spectacular! The tent was really comfortable (bring eye masks). I think the bathroom was the cleanest of anywhere we stayed. The cooler out from was a nice touch, along with needed lanterns, lights, electric blankets, card games and more. You can tell someone has stayed here and thought of all the convenient items you will need and want. Highly recommend.

NM Glamping

What a fun “glamping” experience! Had a little trouble finding the place but eventually did. We discovered on our way out this morning the “No Trespassing” sign we kept looking for on the right is on the ground. The place itself was perfect though.
