Decent apartments, surroundings not great

Evina is an apartment hotel, with a number of two story buildings around a square. The compound was supposed to have a pool and a small store, but these looked to have been closed for some time. There is also no restaurant on premises, so we were informed that we would have to go to the hotel down the street (owned by the same owners) for breakfast, and that we could also use the pool there. That pool isn't suitable for small children, as it is too deep, even at the deep end, and when we were there, it wasn't particularly clean. The area is quite residential, and literally just off the main highway, and the beach is a good walk away from the hotel. Our garden view apartment didn't have a view of a garden (there wasn't one).
