Oth0er than an issue with the lights that the management were more than happy to deal with, the apartment was excellent, very well appointed and scrupulously clean. Very comfortable and would stay there again. Brilliantly positioned close to the Wye, ice cream van, coffee shop, playing fields, Cathedral and town!

There was a stink from the bathroom throughout my stay, but I just decided to keep the bathroom door shut and put up with it. At about 9.30pm on the last night of my stay I accidentally locked myself out of the apartment. Unfortunately, the door has a yale lock so it automatically locks if you shut the door and the key was still inside. I called the so-called "24/7" rent a room helpline, but got no answer. I left a message. No-one called me back. So I ended up having to spend the night in a hotel instead without so much as a toothbrush. It was not a restful night! I tried phoning them again the following morning at 8. Still no answer. I finally got through at 8.30am and we arranged to meet at the flat at just before 9am for them to let me in. I arrived, but there was no sign of them. After waiting half an hour I phoned again and was told that they'd replaced the key in the lock box. They had sent me a text to say this, but I had missed it. So I eventually got back into the flat at 9.35am, 12 hours after locking myself out. So much for the 24/7 helpline! I replied to their text saying that I would have appreciated a phone call to tell me of their change of plans. They responded to say, "sorry about that, just a reminder checkout is at 10am". In other words, I had 20 minutes to clear out. So sorry, not sorry then! A truly dreadful service.
