The views are spectacular , the staff at the reception are nice, not that much at the Zion spa . English is a problem , they all speak Slovak and polish. No air condition in the whole hotel. How come , a 5 star hotel without air condition in the summer where temp is 95. They asked us to open the window and they brought us a fan from 1990 . All the bugs in the valley end entering through the open window. Breakfast is greasy and donโ€™t expect any one to smile at you. Definitely , not worth the money, few other options in the area probably better. Over priced with less amenity . Not to mention , the spa receptionist did have much of decency . If you donโ€™t speak Slovak , look somewhere else.

We had high hopes for this hotel, it was overall disappointing. We were given a room with a view to some rocks we had to pay extra to have something to see. They said that since we booked through Expedia....we don t get the same advantages as other customers, this is not a 5 star thing to say at the reception. The restaurant food was simply atrocious, I paid 60 euros for the worst piece of stake I had in my life, ever. Do NOT go to that restaurant, you have been warned. The bar and the spa are the only things we actually liked, 99% of the staff are very well trained and very polite.

Very much a top luxury Hotel with priced accordingly. Staff and service excellent. Spa great for relaxing with Bar service and stunning views. Rooms luxurious and views either side of the Hotel stunning. The Hotel set on the beautiful Strba Tarn against a backdrop of stunning mountains. Great walks / hiking trails very worthwhile but note they are long and quite hard to hike (proper footwear essential). Highly recommended Hotel. Thank you for our stay.

Hotel is beautifully situated, staff helpful, breakfast delicious. There is one huge problem. Our room was horrible. Bed was not even 3 stars range. We couldn't belive our eyes. So our advise is : if you are not staying in top price room dont bother. Not worth your money.

Kempinsky in High Tatras is one of the most beautiful hotels out there. Itโ€™s absolutely stunning with the most amazing surroundings and the friendliest and most helpful staff. We have stayed here few times before and definitely will be back. The presidential apartment is very very special. Almost forgot to mention the stunning Zion spa.

Exceptionally welcoming and quality service

My wife and I stayed Grand Hotel for the first time but have previously been to the Presov region. We found that the service from all of your staff including but not limited to; Valet parking / luggage carriage support, reception, bar and restaurant staff including during the breakfast buffet, housekeeping, spa and all were professional, courteous, supportive and always welcoming. It was what we were expecting however and under the circumstances with travel whilst the covid pandemic is still present, were pleasantly surprised that your attentiveness, covid restriction management and service was extremely good. The quality of food in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff at the Spa were supportive and welcoming. The support from all at reception and valet / door person when we had a "situation" with misplaced car keys to help us to take our additional PCR test at Dom Seniorov was very much appreciated. The Hotel and local area is beautiful and tranquil and it is a wonderful place to come to experience nature, wonderful surroundings, amazing views, attractive buildings and can be equally suited to romantic or activity based or relaxing getaways. and all of the above reaffirms our interest to travel to stay at the Grand Hotel Kempinski, High Tatras again (hopefully soon).
