Mediocre to Gross

I have stayed in most of the hotels in Helena and this one is better than the others in this part of town but pretty rough. The sheets had stains, there was a bloody booger wiped on the wall and whiskers from the previous occupant's morning shave still around our sink. Breakfast was standard unless you are gluten free and then I hope you like powdered eggs and yogurt. The pool was also pretty chilly for some reason? Be careful booking here with kids who want to swim! All that said, it is close to our favorite Mexican restaurant and the soccer fields but when you pay per night what Helena area hotels charge it feels pretty crazy to have the experience we had!

It’s an older hotel but the management seems quite good. They do many things nicer chains don’t. Fresh cookies all day was a favorite with the kids. Wouldn’t want to stay here long but fine for a night or two. Would stay there again.

This was a perfectly adequate affordable hotel. The inside including the room was nice and offered surprising amenities. The free hot breakfast was above average. The room had a cleanliness issue (not something easily discovered) but was otherwise comfortable. The only issue we had with the hotel is the exterior is uninviting, and the parking lot only has one entrance making it hard to navigate.

First off the front staff was excellent. The condition of the hotel was deplorable. I am unsure of the rating it has gotten. This is a budget hotel at best. Baymont needs to put some effort into maint. The hottub water looked milky, missing tiles and trim pieces coming off everywhere. I could see the hallway through the crack in my door. The continental breakfast was brutal, dry biskets and watery powdered eggs. The worse I've seen in the US.

They gave away my room even after I confirmed late check-in by phone. Had to sleep on pullout sofa torture “bed” with urine stained pad(mattress?). Finally got what I’d reserved for nites 2&3. Also, no maid device

I thought the linen was very clean and comfortable. Previous drain issues with the sink made me nervous. The sink was not clean. It had toothpaste, tissue residue, and someone's beard hair trimmings all stuck to the sink bowl. Upon investigation, the issue was that the sink P trap was clogged and the sink would not drain properly. I feel like the room steward should have recognized the problem and reported the maintenance issue to management. Other than that, the room was comfortable and acceptable.
