Heidelberg is nestled between the Langeberg Mountains and the Indian Ocean along the Duivenhoks River in the Western Cape. The Doornboom Homestead was built in 1728. The town was established in 1855 around the majestic Dutch Reformed Church. Go on a Historical Walking Route to view historical landmarks. In the area are many trails and day drives for nature lovers. Nearby are the World Heritage sites of Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve and Boosmansbos Wilderness Area. Grootvadersbosch has various mountain bike trails. Day drives to Tradouw and Garcia Pass are recommended. The Bontebok National Park and Heidelberg Bird Route are excellent for bird lovers. The coastal town of Witsand, about 40km away, is a well known whale watching site. The pont across the Breede River at Malgas is not to be missed. The Heidelberg Wimpy was voted the best in South Africa.
The Heidelberger Self-catering Guest Suite Apartment is situated in the quaint little heritage town of Heidelberg in the Western Cape. It is approximately one kilometre from the N2 Highway. The apartment is about 40 metres from the road adjacent to a canal with lots of guinea fowl roaming there. It is a spacious 55 square metre apartment. DSTV and Netflix are provided. Safe and clean. Newly installed wall heaters in each room. Freshly painted.
The Self-catering Guest Suite Apartment for your exclusive use comprises two Guest Rooms (4 x 3.5m each). Each room has a fan, a heater, a hairdryer, blankets, hangers and towels. There is an open plan lounge, dining area and fully-equipped kitchen (5 x 4m).
The Couples Room contains a queen-size bed and a dressing table. The Family Room contains a double bed and a bunk bed.
The bathroom (4 x 2m) has a shower cubicle, bath, valet stand and clothes rack. Soap, shampoo and foam bath are provided. The kitchen includes a full size fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. Teas and coffees are also provided.
Breakfast is available at an additional charge. A small library and games are available for you to browse at your leisure. A cot is provided to accommodate an infant. Braai/BBQ facility with outdoor furniture is also available. A laundry service is provided upon request, for a small charge.
