Very clean property, plenty of towels and genuinely very comfortable. The electric blanket didn’t work in the master bedroom and this was disappointing as it was an extremely cold weekend. In the second bedroom the window didn’t have a lock on it so I worried about my children sleeping in there all night. Great communication with the owners and very clean as I said above👏

Leura - Blue Mountains - Springtime

Pros: As above
Cons: Prior knowledge to any changes to booked accommodation
Location: Beautiful in spring times, many walks in mountainous terrain with transport to attractions if required
Our accommodation was changed from Whispering Pines Wellington Falls to Leura without any prior discussion. However the allotted cottage actually exceeded our expectations, close to Leura town centre, well equipped kitchen,extremely clean, multiple forms of digital entertainment and with gas heating throughout and a wood heater if desired

Hi Laurie and Barb, Thanks for your feedback and I am glad you had a great stay. Sorry for the confusion over the address, there is no accommodation at the address listed on Wotif, this is our main house where guests can collect keys and information so it was never an move of cottage, the Mall cottage was originally booked which again so glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully see you again soon.

Corporate stop over

Pros: The central heating was on when we arrived so it was lovely and warm and clean with umbrellas for our walk to dinner
Cons: Finding the empty fire-starter packet was disappointing as the wood was damp and the fire needed more help than paper to get going
Location: Very central and easy location with great restaurants close-by. Bon Ton Bistro was fabulous for food, wine and service
Was a fabulous find and will be back with the family. Lovely and clean

Fabulous location for seeing the Blue Mountains

Pros: Location. Well-appointed cottage with plenty of room for a family.
Cons: No laundry facilities was disappointing.
Location: Fabulous bushwalking and sightseeing. Manager recommended the National Pass walk finishing at a lovely spot for lunch - fantastic!
Great cottage for a family. Fantastic location. Close to the gorgeous views of Wentworth Falls. Cottage beautifully decorated.

selfcontained cottage in serene setting

Stayed at Defenella Lodge for 3 nights. Located beautifully in serene surroundings and private, but easy to drive to many Blue Mountain Highlights. Very clean and comfortable, had all amenities to make a perfect stay. On my definetely to book again list in the future.

Very comfortable walking distance to major tracts

Cottage is very cosy warm with heating facilities blankets close to major beautiful walking tracts. There are supermarket next town. You need to have a car as public transport is scanty for a small town .very quiet The main building is completely away from my cottages I think Whispering Pine contracts owners of different cottages . He just has the keys

Beautiful place, fantastic location

We checked in at 5pm and they already had the gas fire heater on that heated the whole house - plus an individual heater in the bedrooms. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, kitchen was complete with everything you could need. The location was impressive. Only a short walk to some of the best hikes in Wentworth Falls. There is a wonderful book in the house that has an index to all the walks in the area which really allows you to make the most of your time. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay!

Lovely old cottage

The cottage was lovely and clean. The owners had turned the central heating on before we got there, so the place was lovely and cosy. Full sized kitchen with dish washer was a blessing. I'd definitely stay here again. It was close to shops and restaurants as well.
