THE HOME
Thoughtfully designed to embrace the natural beauty surrounding it, Knotty by Nature combines warm Northwoods character with modern amenities and comfortable living spaces. Large windows throughout the home showcase stunning views of the Namekagon River and fill the space with natural light.
Living Area
The heart of the home is the spacious main living area, where comfortable seating on our oversized sectional invites your group to gather after a day on the river. Whether you’re sharing stories from the day’s adventures, enjoying a movie night on our 75’ Smart TV, challenging each other to some of the many provided games we have left for you to enjoy, or simply taking in the river views through the large picture windows, this cozy gathering space was designed for making memories. Warm wood accents and Northwoods-inspired décor create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that feels like home from the moment you arrive.
Kitchen & Dining
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners. Featuring modern appliances, ample counter space, and all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you’ll need, it’s easy to prepare and serve your favorite meals. A spacious dining area provides plenty of room for everyone to gather, share a meal, and plan the next day’s adventures. While on the stamped concrete patio just off the dining area, you will also find a four-burner gas grill...perfect for grilling up today’s big catch on the river or a quick steak, burger, or brat if you weren’t quite so lucky! Of course, mornings in the Northwoods call for great coffee, so we’ve made sure you’ll have everything you need to brew your favorite cup before stepping outside to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river. Bring your favorite K-Cup’s or grounds and our coffee maker will do the rest!
Bedrooms
Knotty by Nature comfortably accommodates families and groups with three thoughtfully furnished bedrooms designed for rest and relaxation. Cozy beds, quality linens, and peaceful surroundings make it easy to recharge after a day spent outdoors. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or fellow fishing enthusiasts, everyone will have a comfortable place to call their own.
The Master Suite is furnished with a King-Sized bed, dresser, and two storage nightstands so there is plenty of room for all your belongings. Enjoy your morning coffee on the tastefully appointed screened-in porch directly off the Master Suite.
The second guest bedroom features a Queen-Sized bed, large dresser, and closet. Open the sliding glass doors in this room to find yourself on a covered porch with a cute bistro set for you to enjoy your breakfast while overlooking the beautiful Namekagon River below.
The third guest bedroom is furnished with a Queen-over-Queen bunkbed perfect for kids of all ages and even those adults who are still “kids at heart!” This bedroom also has a large closet with plenty of storage space.
Bathrooms
The home features two full bathrooms stocked with fresh towels. With plenty of space for larger groups, getting ready for the day—or winding down afterward—is both easy and convenient. The Master Suite is equipped with a bright, beautifully tiled walk-in shower, and oversized vanity, with plenty of cabinet space for storage. The large and spacious Main Bathroom has a shower over tub, a single vanity, and an extra cabinet for storage and towels for your entire group. Another great feature of our home is the large Laundry Room with a full-size washer and dryer for your use, as well as extra space for storage just off the main entrance to the home!
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Let’s be honest—the real star of the show is the beautiful stretch of the Namekagon River flowing right outside your door.
Knotty by Nature offers direct access to one of Wisconsin’s most beloved waterways, known for its crystal-clear water, sandy bottom, exceptional fishing, scenic paddling, and incredible wildlife viewing. Start your morning with coffee overlooking the river as eagles soar overhead and the Northwoods slowly come to life around you.
Mornings here begin on the spacious riverfront deck, while afternoons might find you kayaking, fishing, floating on a tube, or simply sitting still long enough to realize how rare that feeling is these days. As the afternoon winds down, the air cools, the sky softens, and the only real decision left is whether to start a fire or pour another drink. (Correct answer: It’s both.)
As the sun begins to set, gather around one of two fire pits (a gas fire table on the upper patio and natural wood burning fire pit on the riverside deck) with family and friends. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river under a canopy of Northwoods stars. Few things capture the spirit of a Wisconsin getaway quite like an evening around the fire after a day spent out on the water.
