Our king bed was comfortable, and that’s not only the case in lower priced hotels. We chose Ellis because comparable hotels in surrounding communities were more expensive, especially Hays which had a very high tax rate. The air conditioning in the room worked well in extreme heat. Breakfast was simple but good. Mexican restaurant across the street was very good. Parking was easy and close. Good stay on our way home from vacation.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Room itself seemed to be clean. The bathroom was gross. The toilet had mildew and mold built up. The shower’s drain was clogged. Nothing like taking a shower with water up to your ankles with dirty water from cleaning yourself. The hotel already has a good rating I think that says it all.

Such a shame how quickly this hotel has gone from new to rundown. Honestly, the hotel needs a complete renovation. Sure, it’s pretty inexpensive if you just need a place to crash for the night, but it’s not what it used to be.

Stains on our sheets. Way outdated and used couches and chairs in the sitting room. Gross stairwells. No towels for the “workout room” or pool. Breakfast was minimal. Just felt grimy overall. Go spend a little more somewhere else to feel comfortable.

I had a fantastic stay at Days Inn by Wyndham Ellis! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long drive. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with directions or local tips. I especially appreciated the convenient location, close to local attractions and easy access to highways. The complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day, offering a good variety of options. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Ellis!

There were no towels for the pool. Asked at the desk and they only had 1 towel. No wash cloths in either of our two rooms. The hallway carpet in front of our room was disgusting. There were toe nail clippings and random things on the carpet.
