This is a delightful Inn, located in a beautifully quiet part of Cumbria. The rooms are rustic, clean and the beds very comfortable. The food menu is traditional - the steak pies being an excellent choice. One small point would be that the tables in the bar/restaurant could do with a deep clean, as they are very 'sticky' but otherwise the place gets 9/10 from me. I would definitely stay here again.

The property and area were beautiful and quaint. The rooom/bathroom could have been a little cleaner and the bed and pillows were on the flat, hard side. However, we enjoyed our stay and would happily have stayed another night.

Nice pub in a remote location. Rooms located in converted outbuildings. Small but perfectly adequate for short stay. Nicely decorated. Food in pub was lovely. Breakfast was ok. Some young members of staff who were very polite and on the go all the time. Clearly a popular and busy place.
