Awesome Casa in the coolest city on the planet!

There is only one place to stay in Havana and that's Boutique Casa 1932 in down to earth and fascinating Centro! Your host Louis is a super friendly and very helpful guy who speaks fluent English! His wife and all staff, especially Jorge, are also very nice and friendly! There is always someone at the front door, making the place feel very welcoming and safe. It's an old building about a block from the famous Malecon in a perfect location for exploring Havana on foot. Most of the sights are in Old Havana and Vedado but for the real life Havana, do spend a good few hours just strolling the fascinating streets of Centro, it's like stepping into a black and white classic from the 1940's! Casa 1932 fits right into this movie set! It's an old building with an atmosphere so thick that you almost forget it's 2025! It's only when you enjoy a very nice shower and turn on the aircon that you're reminded of which time period you're living in! There is not even a tv to ruin the atmosphere, amazing! I stayed here twice on two different occasions over a period of two weeks, each time in a different room and both were fantastic! My favourite was the family room which felt like a time capsule! So much character and so much soul! The rooms also have a safe should you need one. Stepping into the front room is truly like stepping into a living museum! Packed with fascinating objects but still feels homely. All in all this is one of my absolute favourite places to stay in the whole world!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay, and we are looking forward to staying with them again on our next trip. We came to Cuba to spend time together, as well as meet Cuban artist, and we couldn't have imagined how amazing our time here was. Our hosts were wonderful, we loved that it was a family-run business and how professional and warm they were. Their home was beautiful, full of family memories and beautiful antiques. We felt at home in our gorgeous room, breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was just as wonder to talk to. We cannot recommend this place enough, the area is close to the water, just one block over to the Malecon. The walk to popular Havana sites is not far, and we walked daily during the day without any issue. Very much looking forward to staying again, already planning our next visit!

This is a very interesting old style casa with so much to look at as its full of antiques the owner and staff are all friendly very knowledgeable and helpful arranging and giving useful hints and tips of how to make the best out of your stay. the breakfast is good and sets you up for the day.

I spent an amazing three nights at this property and had a wonderful trip to Havana Cuba because of the host. They were able to arrange private tours for me to include a walking tour of downtown and even a tour of the tobacco farms outside of the city. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing and personalized. All of the staff members were attentive and were very friendly. I felt like part of their family on day two.😀As a solo traveler, I felt safe at all times the facility was super clean and again it was just a fabulous experience. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend if you are a solo traveler or looking for the convenience of walking the city as the location was central to everything.

If you're looking for a casa particular with amazing hosts, look no further! We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. It feels like you've been transported to 1930s-1940s Cuba. The breakfast included was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, with a private bathroom. Most importantly, the staff were all kind and incredibly helpful. Great location- a block away from “El Malecon and about a 10 min walk to “Paseo del Prado”.

Excellent service, kind and helpful hosts -- we felt lucky to be here during a 48-hour power outage, when they gave us battery-powered flashlights and for several hours were able to get a generator working (and we still had a great breakfast both days). The place is full of fascinating collectibles from many decades ago. We stayed in Room 3 (the Elvis room).

Luis is an exceptionally helpful owner, arranging and explaining everything for us on our first visit to Cuba. He organised taxis and made a booking at a very popular restaurant (San Cristobel), and advised us where to buy high quality Churchill-sized cigars (the National Hotel). The Casa is decorated in a completely unique way with many many collected items. Breakfast was excellent and extensive, just make sure you're clear if you want Americano style coffee if that's your preference over expresso! We also ate dinner in one evening and it was delicious and well presented. Our room (number 3) was very comfortable and quiet. The location was a 10 minute walk from the old town and main tourist area in an area where most of the buildings are sadly in need of major repair. We walked a lot during the day and night without feeling the slightest bit unsafe. We unreservedly recommend Casa 1932.

Great place to stay in Havana. Less than 100m to the main road by the sea wall. Easy to walk to anywhere we wanted to visit. The owner arranged a taxi in the evening for us.

Authentic, Quirky, Well Positioned

Casa 1932 is an authentic, quirky, and well positioned Guesthouse 50 metres away from the seawall Malecon Habanero which you can easily follow for fantastic views of the Lighthouse, then hang a right up the Paseo del Prado to where all the wonderful sights are easily accessed. Migual’s guesthouse is secure, comfortable, and clean.  He himself speaks fluent English, and loves engaging with his clientele forwarding his knowledge of Cuban history and answering your questions.  There is a driver available to taxi you around at price negotiated with Migual beforehand.  Our room had high ceilings, antique furniture, fridge, and air conditioning.  The fridge was replenished with bottles of water daily.  Breakfast was included in our stay, and we dined in a wee courtyard, served with antique dinnerware and a selection of foods, fruit juice, tea and coffee.  There was a vast array of antiques on display which were simply amazing. Totally recommend if you are visiting Havana.

A Feast for the Eyes

As first time visitors to Cuba, I only wish we had stayed at Boutique Casa 1932 the entire vacation. The owner and staff were very kind and welcoming. The hotel was so amazing and unique. We loved our room with its many antiques yet modern comforts. While Havana has it's challenges , you will be in very good hands at this hotel. We felt very safe,were steps away from the malecon,and had a truly authentic Cuban experience. Also the very generous breakfast was appreciated.

Amazing historical property full of antiques and beautiful decor. Property owner Louis and his family are so welcoming and helpful with any questions and their home made Cuban seafood dinner was an amazing experience in the antique dinning room. Highly recommend this beautiful home.
