Historic Island Retreat on Little Exuma
Welcome to Turtle Creek Inn By The Sea! This is a lovely garden view studio apartment that has a nicely appointed kitchenette with a refrigerator, toaster oven, two-burner cook top, coffee maker, and AC.
The gardens are lush with native trees, fruits and flowers which attract a wide array of birds and butterflies. The property borders on a sweet tidal creek where we have our private dock for kayaking & paddle boarding. The "lazy river" is a 20 minute paddle from our dock.
Activities available include world class kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, boating, and beach excursions.
We are uniquely situated in a location to offer a wide variety of kayaking terrains for all skill levels. There are numerous islands, mangrove marshes and trails surrounded by flats with crystal clear water and an abundance of marine life.
The beaches are a destination in themselves, offering an opportunity to walk, swim, picnic, play, work-out in a natural tidal current, snorkel, or just relax!.
Forbes Hill beach is a 4 minute drive and Tropic of Cancer beach is a 8 minute drive from the Inn

Highly recommend staying with Rhonda and Steve. A rental car is pretty much necessary unless you are happy to stay put on the property and kayak to new areas (I might consider that for future trips). If you like nature, kayaking, gardens, and relaxing in a beautiful location - this is the ticket. I did accommodation only but next time I think I'd pay extra to have meals offered as their aren't many easy access restaurants nearby.

Best water sports adventure.
We enjoyed our winter vacation at Turttle Creek Inn.
It is a kayakers paradise.
We were talking different routes every day for 11 days and we just explored a small portion of the water ways. There are also some of the best beaches in the world some of them are only accessible by kayak or stand up paddle board.
Some of the beaches are within a few minutes drive. The Little Exuma is very secluded and quiet, and that was exactly what we wanted, get away from the city noise. The owners live on the property and they are very professional and accommodating. They also offer delicious home cooked meals, guided kayak tours and some car service if you don't want to rent a car. We came back home very happy and relaxed.
