Fun time
Stayed for a last minute friend trip. Erin was great with answering questions and the property was a nice mix of seclusion but close enough to Ashland or Columbia to easily access supplies if needed.

much needed get away
all in all in was a nice stay. needs to have way more lighting outside. the side where you enter in at is completely dark even all around the house. inside the house needs brighter lights. had to use a flashlight even with lights on in the kitchen. very dark inside the house and a half dozen or so dead flies in the bathroom by the register vent. the listing dont really show other properties next to the farmhouse and you dont know about the other properties till after you have booked. the one property is within plain view maybe 75 feet away and there kibo is right on the line and there patio faces you. was not as private as its made out to be but all in all its was a great time and very relaxing. the host is awesome and always answers right back and is very friendly. i would recommend this place.

Perfect For Our Needs
The property was clean and nicely decorated. We didn't cook but it seemed well-equipped for those who do. Host was very responsive though we had no issues requiring attention.
The property is isolated and quiet. We used it as a base for cycling portions of the KATY Trail and it's very convenient to the Hartsburg Trailhead, and access to the Hart's Creek Conservation Area. We enjoyed the bird concert with our early morning coffee.
A couple of caveats which are by no means complaints, but might be relevant to others. As stated above, the property was perfect for us and we would stay there again. Recommended without hesitation.
First, because of the property's isolation, one must drive a bit for services such as groceries, restaurants, etc. Not a problem for us. Also cell coverage can be spotty, but WI-FI calling on the provided connection was fine.
Second, the property is a repur0osed 19th Century farm house. One can see where additions were made over the years. Architecturally, it's quite interesting. It is by no means "rustic," but there areas in the transitions between additions where the floors are uneven, which might be an issue for some people.
As indicated, we had a great time and would recommend this property for those seeking a place of quiet solitude, relax and leave other worldly cares behind.

Stay for a wedding in Jeff city
The house was accurately described, and is a cute little farm house. We didn’t spend much time at the house as we were busy with the wedding. But we had no issues with our stay. Would book again if we needed to stay in the area.

Quiet and clean!
Erin was great and super helpful. The house is for sure old, but the beds are all comfortable and the whole place was clean. The one bedroom is through the laundry room, which made it more challenging for us placing the kids for sleeping, but it worked well for our family. Would love to stay again when we’re in town.

Absolutely adorable!
I stayed at this property with 3 other friends for 3 nights. The house was so adorable! It was very clean, well stocked (even had bathroom amenities!) and nicely appointed. We didn't utilize the deck or front porch too much (it's mosquito season) they would both be amazing in the fall or spring before the bugs started biting.
We all appreciated the comfortable beds and dark curtains and we all got several nights of great sleep.
Communication with the host was the best!
The only negative was cell service is spotty and wifi isn't the fastest, but that wasn't much of an issue. They were both available and were as expected since the house was in the country and down in a bit of a valley.
Overall, we were thrilled with the house and had a lovely time. Highly recommend this property and host!

A Gem
Idyllic setting - an old farmhouse with updated amenities (kitchen and bath, heat pumps for heating and air conditioning) set amid a rolling landscape with abundant wildlife. Sitting on the porch just enjoying the weather was satisfying. Our host stayed in touch during the booking and throughout our stay and was quite gracious. We would definitely stay there again.
