Staff were great, bed was comfortable, but not a good experience with the property. Most parts were run down. The stairs and parts of the garage were downright concerning. My door wouldn’t open unless it was wiggled extra and just right, the room coffee maker had old grounds, the ac/heater was so rattlely I chose to freeze instead, and the worst part was when the toilet handle stopped flushing (also originally only worked when tilted at one specific weird angle), but I was too done to change rooms and left it. Wish I’d spent my money elsewhere.

It was just a very decent/normal hotel that is not special or too bad. I didn’t know that I have to pay an 100 dollar deposit fee but it makes sense since it’s Hartford. Pros: - Bed is comfortable - check out time is 12, so which made us enough time to explore around the downtown and get lunch! - pretty huge room - it’s at really good location Cons: - there were mold on the shower walls - room kind of smelled like pool water? - floor is pretty dusty, so definitely wear your shoes/slippers - Air conditioner makes a pretty loud rusty noise - Parking has no security so I saw some homeless walking around there which makes me unsafe at one point

We booked a room through Expedia and they put us up on the 9th floor. As soon as we went in the room we noticed the middle window was wide open and had no latch. We tried closing it but it kept blowing open because it was a windy night. On top of that, the bathroom floor was sticky and the sheets were stained. We’re not the type to make a fuss so we just asked for a refund and to checkout, which they said needs to be handled through Expedia. Since no one will corroborate what happened with the room from the capitol hotel Expedia can’t refund. I sincerely hope they take accountability and allow a refund as the room was completely unacceptable and the lady at the front desk took note and said a refund would be okayed. Resolving a bad/failed booking shouldn’t be this difficult.

Hotel smelled of oil fuel. PC system was down so delay in getting room keys. Receptionist cranky (see above). Room key wouldn't open as handle (for this rom) had to be pulled up (would have been nice to have ben told. TV wouldn't turn on and fixed to the war. However repair man unscrewed it so could use HDMI - top rating for him

Staff was kind. No parking included. Had to park in a pay lot adjacent to the hotel. Hotel room view of the college across the street was gorgeous. Hotel room itself leaves a lot to be desired. Outdated. Stained mattress. Peeling paint on bathroom ceilings. Ice machine in hallways broken and leaking so there were puddles all over and hallways carpet was saturated. Ice machine beeped for the entirety of our 24 hour stay and was right outside the door to our room. Breakfast was also included. Mediocre at best.

It was decent for a night. There was a lot of noise. If you like partying than its good for you but not for peace and quiet! The hotel needs more remodeling but it was pretty clean and the customer service was very nice and friendly.
