No sugar-coating here. Great staff. Easy check-in. Room 144.. THIN sheets and blanket. HVAC thermostat stuck ON. Does not follow temperature setting no matter what the front desk says. Too hot at any fan setting. Must wake at night to turn unit off. Refrigerator has separate freezer and refrigerator sections (!GOOD!). Good hot water. Single overhead light in bathroom throws shadows. Slow draining tub. No rugs. Cold floor. No overhead light in room, it's DARK. Very good office chair: rises enough for desk work. One AC outlet at desk (base of lamp has two with one dedicated to refrigerator) is not enough. Breakfast is make-your-own waffles, cold cereals, bagels, juice, coffee. No protein. 24-hour McDonald's next door. BEWARE: DRIVING HAZARD: Days Inn signs at entrance and exit on Ella Grasso have dead bulbs and are NOT lit. Staff replaced dead lamp bulb on request.

The room was definitely neglected. There was peeling wall paper and hairs scattered around the bathroom. There was peanut butter smeared on the door. We had to call the staff on the phone to get some help checking in. And the parking lot was a death trap covered in ice. I did not feel safe walking with my baby.
