This hotel fit our needs perfectly. We were travelling from Canada to Florida, and this was on the way. We were travelling with our two dogs. They were very accommodating with them coming in. The beds were super comfortable. Sheets were very very clean had nice hot coffee upon arrival. The only down point is the bathroom was a little outdated tiles were a little loose chair in our room look like it has been scratched up by a cat But other than that, the price fit the bill I would stay here again …

This property was perfect for our needs, beds were super comfortable and clean. Shower had issues with hot water and continental refreshments were out of service wich were a downer. Other then that 3.5 is our star rating out of 5

Front desk people were very pleasant. People in the room next to me played loud music from 1am to 5am. Front desk got them to turn it down. Wasn't ideal but that's more a problem with the people next door than the hotel. Free breakfast was nice. Not a lot of choices. I'm not picky but I'm sure a lot of people would be disappointed with the variety and quality. Overall, it was fine. Nice location - close to a lot of dining & retail. Also close to JMU which is why I was there. It was just me so I didn't mind any shortcomings. If my wife/family was with me, I may have been willing to spend more at a nicer place. All things considered, it was ok. Fine for my needs.

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at this property, and when I booked originally it wss around $96 and the new Hyatt across the street which is incredible was about $137. I decided to go cheap and stick with the sleep inn but this time I unfortunately noticed a foul sour moldy smell on the fourth floor. I noticed a lot of splatter and rust and old conditions starting to show in the rooms. And our bathroom door wouldn’t even shut. I also have never had an immediate back ache from a mattress and this time I struggled the whole stay. We did end up waiting to book the extra Friday night again being cheap to see if the rate would go down and much to my dismay, it actually went up to around $125, which remember was close to the origami price of the brand new super comfortable hype, Hyatt right across the street that is top notch. Morale of the story. If ya want cheap and don’t mind a few worn mattress rooms, because I’ve stayed here before and didn’t experience this so maybe it’s just some, and a few odors or older worn details, this is it, but book in advance and don’t think the price will get cheaper, and for a little more, stay at the Hyatt.

Wheelchair Accessible, Clean and Comfortable

For now on I will be staying at this hotel when I visit family in the area! The room was clean, beds are comfortable, and the blueberry muffins at breakfast were delicious. :D I’m a wheelchair user and this accessible room was great. The bathroom had plenty of room to get around, there’s a wide, full length mirror, and things that I need to reach were at my level. (It does have a carpet which is a little more difficult to maneuver on.) I took off a star because the vending machine was out of order, (that’s something we rely on) it cost $3.25 to get a bottle of water at the front desk and the front desk personnel wasn’t friendly. I felt like it was a bother to have to check me in. You never know what people are going through, though. I hope they’re ok. Next time we’ll be sure to bring our own snacks from one of the many convenience stores in the area. Ice at the hotel is free YAY!
