We stayed for three nights while we visited Shanendoah and Luray. The breakfast was good, quite a few options. The bed was comfortable. It wasn't as quiet as I would have liked - too many doors closing nearby (maybe they need soft close hinges!) but for someone who often struggles with sleep it wasn't horrible. My husband had no issues with the noise so I know it was partially me. The carpets could use a shampooing and you could see the age of the building here and there. All in all it was worth the price.

Staff was great at the hotel. We had to leave a couple days early, but the insurance for trip coverage through Expedia didn’t cover our issue. Make sure to check stipulations before buying insurance.

Property was very nice and cleanly. Area in which the property was located had plenty of dining options. Difficult with front desk staff in that the sign "we have stepped away" (paraphrasing sign) was up quite frequently.

We booked the room online at the Choice Hotels link. No where on the information provided on the app did it state that the 2 story property DID NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR!! Had we known their was not an elevator available we would NOT have booked the room.. I am somewhat disabled and require a Rollator for walking and I cannot do stairs at all! Standing st the check in desk with my Rollator walker the clerk assigned us room 202!! We asked where was the elevator as we did not see it from the check in desk! The clerk said ‘ no elevator’! Needless to say we immediately asked for a 1 st floor room! For safety reasons my family never stays on a first floor of any hotel! First, the stAtrnt of no elevator should have been on the app and secondly the clerk who saw me on my Rollator not have assigned me a 2 nd floor room! Two college age girls came in behind us with two huge suitcases, They were also ‘surprised’ that there was no elevator and not happy! The rooms costs $$$$ per night!! I expect an elevator!! Plus a ‘resort fee of $$$was also charged!! Ridiculous!! I am requesting a full credit back of these room charges including the resort fee! The app clearly listed the hotel was ‘ADA’.. false advertising in my opinion! What IF there had not been a room on the first floor for us… we would have been stuck with no room at all!! Very disappointed with the Clarion! Put in an elevator OR list that important FACT on the app!!! Refund my charges please immediately

Room was very clean, but it had a very strong, chemical odor, probably the disinfectant they use. I could not open the window, but I turned the fan on and that helped a bit.
