Perfect refuge from a storm

I was forced to get off the interstate by a snowstorm. The Clarion Pointe Hotel was a great (mostly lucky) choice. I picked it for its location and the reasonable price. The lobby and breakfast room were spacious and pretty and the room was all I needed. All the the staff were very friendly. Special shout-out to Laura at the front desk who helped me with all my requests - from needing mayo and plastic utensils for my meals, to opening the blinds in the breakfast room so I could watch the snow fall. The breakfast fare was standard but good. And again, the two women that were working there were very nice. Highly recommend!

Great stay marred by two problems.

Wonderful staff, and clean, well appointed facility - but two room problems dropped the rating. - Heating thermostat not working well and room overheated even when we lowered temp to 68 - made sleep difficult. - Needed to sleep in due to late night plus above, but frighteningly loud alarm clock (set by previous guest) went off at 6:30AM and there was no obvious way to shut it down. thought it was fire alarm. So adrenalized I never got back to sleep! Maids obviously not trained to turn off alarms when they clean. Managment refused partial room refund because stay booked through Hotels.com instead of directly.

The front desk manager, Melissa, was extremely helpful when there was an issue with the thermostat in our room. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, due to an impending snow storm, we had to cut our stay short. Melissa worked with the gentleman from Expedia to complete my travel insurance claim. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

This time was perfect...the time before i ordered room service (it said room service) but when i called it was an outside conpany who basically just door dashes it for you. So this stay was perfect. We walked to get food. So both times were good just dont get fooled about room service

Fine for an overnight but the walls are pretty thin so loud neighbors was a problem and rooms and furnishings need to be updated. Lobby was lovely and staff was friendly and helpful.
