A highlight of our visit to Maine.

The rooms were spacious, well and uniquely decorated, and had a fabulous ocean view. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location is convenient to town shops. Everything was spotless. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I liked the fact that it was on the ocean and had individual cabins available. I didn’t like the fact that there was no vent in the bathroom to clear the moisture.

We liked having our own cottage, however we were put in an ADA unit, which we didn’t require. The outside of the cottage was new renovated. We had a nice porch area to relax on, but we couldn’t see the waterfront because the view was blocked by other cottages. The unit was well stocked, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed a lovely time. Colonial Gables is a perfect location to stay if being near a body of water is important to you. The views of Penobscot Bay were gorgeous and the short distance to Belfast Harbor and their quaint village center made it ideal. The cabins on the property are quaint, well maintained and spaced to give guests their privacy.

This is an older property but it has been updated and maintained. We enjoyed sitting on our deck looking out to the water. It was quiet and peaceful. It was a great little find.
