Our stay at Solaria Hotel exceeded expectations and we are sad that we didn't book a longer stay. The location is excellent, next to Hoan Kiem lake but on a quiet street. Easy walk to the Old Quarter, St Joseph Cathedral and train street. Check in was exceptional and Grace took the time to personally welcome us, explain the hotel and the surrounding area and ask if there was anything we would like to do or see before we left Hanoi. She went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made a reservation for us at MIAs restaurant (highly recommend) and surprised us by organising a birthday dessert for me. Truly a special person and a credit to the hotel. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are very grand. We slept very well and then enjoyed an exceptional breakfast buffet. You may order from a menu with eggs/cooked breakfasts made to order and enjoy the large selection from the buffet, including a coffee machine and the excellent Vietnamese coffee. Upon checking out the hotel organised a very nice car to transfer us to the airport and presented us with a gift. We were very touched and couldn't believe that we had received this level of service. We didn't get to say goodbye to Grace but we have left Hanoi with very special memories and feel that her customer service has played a big part. If we are ever back in Hanoi we would only look to stay at Solaria Hotel. Thank you Grace and all of the team.

You can order breakfast from a menu & also select from a variety of food which we enjoyed. The staff were amazing and made our stay memorable. The second room was much smaller than expected and outdated compared to the photos online - we booked the connecting family room. I would still recommend staying at this hotel! You receive discounts on massages & their restaurant down stairs which we visited twice out of the 4 night stay!

The staff at Solaria is amazing they go above and beyond for all their hotel guests. The front desk staff helped make spa appointments for me at places outside of the hotel which was extremely helpful since many people didn’t speak English. Hotel location was great too for easy access to shopping and restaurants and walkable to many tourist spots. The breakfast is also very good has both Vietnamese and western options and everything is fresh and made to order. The bathrooms are quite small but it was not that big of deal for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was convenient and the staff was over the top wonderful. Helpful and forward thinking- they told us things before we even had time to ask- they are definitely prepared to assist backpackers and travelers alike. With the ability to store luggage, recommendations of what to see and do, even a train schedule for train street! They did a sweep of our room before we left to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind, and offered us a place to freshen up when we came back to get our luggage before heading to the airport. Fabulous service- Lily and Susan are absolutely fantastic. The buffet breakfast had everything we could want and more. Definitely 5 stars. If we even return, this is the only place we’d stay!

We stayed at Solaria for our anniversary and the staff made the experience unforgettable. They decorated our bed with petals and towel swans, which was such a sweet touch. The service was above and beyond—when the airline lost my luggage and another traveler’s bag was dropped off by mistake, the staff stayed with me that night making calls until my bag was returned (which was huge since we had a cruise the next morning!). Throughout the trip they helped with transfers, worked with our cruise company, and even sent us off with gifts like coffee. Special thanks to Cheese and Lily, though everyone was wonderful. Truly some of the best service I’ve ever experienced!

I am writing this review when I am on my way to the airport because this should not wait. Solaria Hotel was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. First of all, thank you so much Lilly and Grace and the whole team who made this short trip amazing. From the check-in to local tips and tricks, from Spa to last day shower room arrangement before our flight; they made everything so much easy for us. Amazing overall experience at this hotel! The staff were outstandingly caring, attentive, and friendly. Our room was clean and luxurious. The location was more than ideal, allowing for <30 minute walks to any location we desired to visit. The breakfast buffet held a wide selection of items and all of the food was top tier. The breakfast space also had outstanding views of the city. We spent my birthday there and when my mom emailed a few weeks prior asking about surprising me with a cake, they were extremely attentive, detailed, and kind in fulfilling that request. Emma and Daria are two of the staff that stood out to us in how they put their heart into everything they did for us during our stay. Additionally, when we were leaving one of our suitcase zippers split, which resulted in us being late for checkout. They were extremely understanding and helpful in helping us solve the untimely and unplanned issue. They held our luggage in the lobby and led us to the nearest luggage shop. Our stay here will be one that we won’t forget!

Our stay at Solaris Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, largely thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. We originally faced a stressful situation due to a poor third-party booking, and that’s when David stepped in. He handled the issue with professionalism and genuine care, offering us immediate solutions when we felt stuck. His ability to turn a frustrating problem into a smooth resolution truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. Liam also deserves special recognition for his outstanding service and leadership. He coordinated effortlessly with his team and even assisted us with tourism arrangements, securing a reservation on very short notice that we would have otherwise missed out on. His attentiveness and organizational skills made us feel like valued guests at every step. Grace was equally wonderful—her kindness and attentiveness left a lasting impression. She patiently answered our many questions about the area, from dining recommendations to helpful travel tips, all of which made our visit not only more comfortable but also more memorable. Her thoughtful guidance ensured we made the most of our time at Solaris and in the surrounding area. The Solaris Hotel itself is excellent, but what truly makes it shine is the people who work there. Ha Noi Solaria Hotel

Our family spent a month in Vietnam and Cambodia and used Solaria Hotel as our base, and stayed here on 3 separate occasions. Incredible location with easy access to anything you want to do. The rooms were excellent, breakfast was delicious ( beef pho in particular), massages were lovely and more. We travel internationally a lot, and this hotel by far has the best staff we have ever met. They are generous with their suggestions and go out of their way to make your stay in Hanoi and yes Vietnam too as perfect as it can be. In particular Liam and Susan. Susan always had the best suggestions of things we should do. And Liam helped organize cars, tours and more as we navigated Vietnam. We would have been lost without him. His kindness was boundless. We can’t wait to return to Hanoi and stay at this amazing hotel again.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel in Hanoi, and what stood out the most was the truly exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, especially one staff member named Susan. Every interaction felt genuine—whether it was the warm greeting at the front desk, the helpful recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The team here is attentive without being intrusive, and it’s clear that they take pride in making each guest’s experience personal and memorable. They helped arrange transportation, gave me insider tips for exploring the Old Quarter, and even checked in to make sure everything in my room was perfect. Hanoi is already a beautiful and vibrant city, but staying here elevated my trip to another level. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but the service here is among the best I’ve ever experienced—kind, professional, and heartfelt. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

We only stayed for one night (before our flight home from Hanoi), but we wish we’d have had more time in this beautiful hotel. The lobby area is vibrant and the rooms are stylish. What stood out to me - after staying in various different South-east Asian hotels over the last 3 weeks - was the powerful, adjustable shower head, the quality shower products, the powerful hairdryer with different settings, and the comfort of the bed and pillows. These things really make a difference! Aside from the place itself and its amenities, one member of staff, in particular, stood out for her warm, welcoming, genuine nature: Susan. What an asset to the Solaria team! She was exactly the sort of person we wanted to be greeted by, after a long day of travelling, and was so helpful.

The staff is incredible. They are attentive, hard working and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is happy and have what they need. The standard rooms are tiny and outdated. We were moved to a larger, renovated room and it was perfect. The restaurant is excellent. Food is fresh and service is exceptional. Welcome drink and desert was lovely and the parting gift was a nice touch. Reserved transport from the airport directly with the hotel. Very convenient, reliable and efficient. No need to haggle at the airport. The driver waits for you in arrival section with your name on a sign.
