Location of the hotel is good. Very central, and just a short walk to the lake. The hotel itself would benefit from a deep clean. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others looked disinterested (bar staff and guys on the door) Reception area was smart, however was greeted on our floor by ripped carpet outside the lift. The hotel room itself was okay, the bathroom appeared to have been separated from the sleeping area as an afterthought. A bit of tender loving care could make this hotel a decent 3 star hotel.

Had a good nights sleep , bed was comfortable but small compared to other hotel rooms in Hanoi. Shower had good warm water pressure. Staff were excellent especially Leo. Very polite and a helpful young man. Convenient location, close to all tourist hotspots. Pictures on site are not same as bedroom

Shining Central was the perfect choice for our 3 days in Hanoi. It's location in the Old Quarter was perfect and very convenient. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was just above and beyond - so friendly and helpful. I had items which I purchased in Hoi An earlier in my trip delivered and there was no problem receiving this package. They also booked taxis, shows and tours for us. And the massage I booked in the spa was fantastic. Great place all around.

I would definitely recommend the Shining Central. The hotel is well located in the Old Quarter, with nearby provision stores and restaurants. The room I stayed in was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a good spread of local Vienamese and international buffet dishes. But the biggest recommendation has to go to the staff, who were very helpful and friendly. They helped us to buy last minute tickets to the water puppet show, and arranged a driver to the Perfume Pagoda complex. They also called me to tell me that I'd accidentally left behind a jacket in the room, and arranged to send it to me back home. Superb service!

The staff at Shining Boutique are so wonderful. They called us upon arrival to make sure we were on our way. They were happy to help with anything we needed. Would stay here again!

Worthwhile to be back here again

Hotel just reopened after 4 months after Covid situation in Vietnam, hence a very neat and nice hotel overall. Location is also walkable (10mins) to nearby Bia Hoi Junction. Hotel also offer a discounted for their massage/spa packages, which is a good deal too. A very welcoming sight upon entering the room as informed we are celebrating an occasion and they duly got the room prepared for it, thank you for the effort and dedication. It was a good view from the highest floor of your hotel, despite it is only 9 floors. However, would like to highlight that whenever we enter the room each time we came back, there is still foul smell after opening the door. Maybe it could be due to the air circulation when the aircon is off when we head out, but it is alright after 5mins. Other than that, the stay is wonderful ! Will be happy to be back here again.

Upgraded to a bigger room & free foot massage. Bed was huge with lovely mattress and pillows- we live white sheets and towels. Nice hot shower, good location for train street and good choice for breakfast. Lovely welcoming staff. Would stay here again.Good WiFi
