Ripped off

when I arrived to to Hanoi, I tried to get a taxi to find the hotel but was very hard to get there, so I have to walk almost 15mins with bags and when I arrived found the hotel close, and after asking some neighbours understood the hotel under renovation, so I had no option because it was night time and walked around looking for another one and stayed in hotel charged me 45$ per night. Overall I had a terrible experience and no one from Expedia flollowed up yet to this accident :(
