Modern hotel in the heart of Hammerfest

* Staff were truly gracious, helpful, and made the stay memorable. We checked in at 2am due to a delayed flight. The staff were accomodating and cheerful * Hotel offers a 24-hour coffee service, including gourmet coffee drinks (cappuccino, espresso, etc.) * The continental breakfast has varied items including make-your-own-waffles * Located in the heart of Hammerfest and close to restaurants and waterfront * Limited hotel paid parking

Good Location, Expensive, Reception Disappointed

Very Disappointed with no explanation when we requested a taxi for the airport. Caroline was very nice but she did not inform us about the taxi pre-booked fee and Kristina did not call us when Hammerfest Taxihus AS came and the meter was also running. We were very disappointed. Female Hotel Director is not very pleasant and friendly when I was talking to her about their buffet and the staff. WIFI is upsetting and annoying because it's cut off every 2 hours.

Hammerfest in March

We stopped off at Hammerfest on the South bound Hurtigruten. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal and the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. There are some lovely walks in the Hammerfest area but unfortunately the path to the local view point overlooking the town was blocked by snow so anyone visiting Hammerfest in March should bear this in mind. Overall a great spot, and the Thon Hotel coundn't have been better.
