The room was very clean and in good condition. But it was too cool. Asked for the heating to be turned up - twice, but nothing happened. The bar staff was very just cleaning and dusting so they totally forgot the guests. Once you order a drink and you finally get they never come back

Make sure you have time to sit on the terrasse overlooking the Elbe. The ginger lemonade is a bit too strong for my taste, but everything else is absolutely perfect! Well done.

This hotel is very special. It is located in a leafy, quiet and beautiful area outside the hustle and bustle of Hamburg. The room was huge, and beautifully decorated, on a lovely courtyard. The highlight is the Linden Terrace which looks out on the river. Stunning. Excellent food. Book the restaurant before you arrive as it gets full.

Wonderful location and property

I've enjoyed this property once more. The terrace is wonderful, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. With the change in temperature, it was a shame that the room had no A/C. My main complaint was the amount of mosquitoes that came into my room in one afternoon. It was unbearable.

Jacob seemed to have a similar standard to hotels we like, such as Fraser Suites Hamburg, Steigenberger Hamburg, Marriott Hamburg, Privathotel lindtner hamburg, SIDE Hotel, etc. It is a dog-friendly hotel, so it came as a disappointment when we were first shown to a table in the restaurant for dinner, only to be asked to leave two minutes later because dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. We always travel with our little 5 kg Bichon Frise, who always sits quietly in a bag at restaurants. Since Hotel Louis C. Jacob is advertised as dog-friendly, we were shocked by such a negative and disappointing experience. Our room (No. 55) was very close to the road, and we could hear all the traffic noise, which made it impossible to sleep. At 7:30 in the morning, construction and road work began. We hadn’t slept at all during the night and couldn’t get any rest in the morning either. It was a poor decision to choose this hotel. It was the most disappointing experience we’ve ever had in Hamburg. We will check out as soon as possible to find a breakfast place that is nice and friendly for both pets and humans in Hamburg.
