Room was clean enough but the bed wasn’t very comfy. The walls are very very thin. The lift was scattered with someone’s takeaway scraps and not cleaned. Staff were perfectly friendly and welcoming though. Location was v close to the metro so good access to the city.

There was a dirty wet towel on the inside door handle. Not a great first impression. Also, I didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a receptionist. I was tired and had to fill out a form on the touch screen which took some time and effort.
This is the wet dirty towel that greeted me as my first impression! Otherwise the room seemed clean enough.

Broken useless wifi, unhelpful staff

Absolutely abysmal experience. Had no internet the entire stay even though it was advertised as having it. Just like every hotel since 2005 should, never mind 2025! I brought 4 devices most of which I could not use as intended due to no connection. I paid for 7 nights in a room with internet, I did not receive that. When you bring it up with staff they couldn't care less. They either ignore you, imply that it's your fault, or just shrug it off and don't offer to look into it all. I'm a network engineer so I know what I'm talking about when I say a network has a problem. Completely unacceptable. Stay away from this place and it's lazy and patronising staff. Bonus problem: They're also too lazy to even check you in, they make you use a stupid wall-mounted touchscreen machine which doesn't even work right to re-enter all the same details you gave when you booked your stay. It takes a few minutes and feels like an eternity when you have to keep your arm raised high to type. Extra bonus: In the middle of entering everything it randomly just reset my progress and went back to the beginning!

Great location. Close to St Pauli station. If the Reeperbahn is your thing the thats just round the corner. Lots of bars sex shops and takeaways nearby. Hamburg is easy to get around and there is more to see than the Reeperbahn.

Room For Imrpovement

The hotel is where it claims to be... a short walk away from Reeperbahn and a short walk from Millerntor Stadium/Heiligengeistfeld. My room was ready and was more or less what I'd expected, but the shower was very badly in need of maintenance (the shower head was not screwed on properly and many of the holes were clogged, probably with calcium deposits). There was also only one type of soap... no shampoo/conditioner/hand soap. The only bottle which had been on the sink said it was a body and hair wash combination. Another minor grievance is that keys are not to be taken off property, which often means a bit of a wait to retrieve the key upon return... I have to imagine there's a better way, one which might reduce waits for guests and reduce stress for the desk staff. (This was particularly inconvenient when I was stuck behind someone with a booking difficulty... not the fault of the hotel, necessarily, but something that could be improved) I was not wholeheartedly dissatisfied with my stay, as the room was clean and the location is good, and the price of a night is quite good, however, I warn fellow travelers to set expectations low to avoid disappointment.

There are nicer areas of Hamburg but the street with Hnsehof on was quieter than some nearby noisy streets. Plenty of local restaurants and easy access to the Elbe tunnel

Reviews gave this property a ‘wonderful.’ It’s not. The bed was really uncomfortable and I had to figure out where to sleep based on the springs. Overall, the property was fine. It’s about what you would expect for this price point, which works for a lot of people, but wonderful it is not.
