Perfect for us . We couldn’t check in before 10pm they left a key for us the room was spotless and lovely and warm we left early never met anyone very surreal but for us perfect

Lovely spot before the ferry, room spotless and comfy, bar was great, locals friendly and the braised beef I had was amazing. Only 1 hiccup, I preordered the breakfast for 8am so could leave for the ferry on time , At 8.30 I had to request to takeaway the breakfast and ate it in the car at the ferry port. Probably the worst breakfast I ever had The guy was under pressure I suppose as I didn’t want to miss my ferry. Nice sausage bacon anaemic mushroom like shoe leather. I’d definitely stay here again though but go to Micky D for a muffin.

Great option for family of four

We had booked a family room and were pleasantly surprised when this was actually 2 rooms with a private connecting hall with storage space and shower room. Looks like it could be used as separate rooms with shared shower room also. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Reception friendly and a great choice of options for breakfast. We used as a base as were kayaking for 2 days, so didn’t have the opportunity to try the evening meals. Their website did state that they were newer owners and in process of updating. Doing a good job of getting through it from what we saw. Might not suit someone looking for a generic bland chain hotel experience.

So close to the ferry port..Nice little hotel with sea views. Food in the restaurant was very good had prawns in garlic starter husband had smoked mackerel pate. To follow I had ham egg chips. Gammon was huge Husband had seafood pasta with garlic bread. We also had a cocktail each. Altogether a good stay. Room very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone going on the ferry to Dublin as an overnight stay

The service is amazing, they're all so friendly. The kitchen is excellent and there are often events in the hotel going on. On my arrival they had live music by local bands. Felt home in the area immediately. Don't be fooled by the 2-star rating, it's a simple facility but with everything else, they're a 4-star for me!

Clearly the folks here are working hard to bring this lovely old inn back to life. A few kinks to be worked out, but we enjoyed our night there. The food in restaurant was very good, if a bit limited on item availability.

By mistake i booked a double bedroom for “1” instead of two people. When we arrived they weren’t sure if they would even give us the room. We insisted on at least seeing the room to see if it would be a fit for us or not as we had a very long trip. When we got there the bed was great for us. So we said we would take the room, its not a problem for us. They continued to say they have to charge us for the extra person anyways, it was only 10£. But We weren’t getting anything extra though. Its the same room, same bed. We didnt even get extra towels, breakfast is not included either?? So the extra charge was for the air we breathed? I still see no reason for charging extra for a person just because.. I would understand if breakfast or some service was included for the person but there was none.. Overall, the hotel was fine, the bedroom was good space, bathroom seemed newly fitted, everything was clean, but there was couple of smudges on the duvet.. Tv didnt work they were in the process of replacing it. Seems like there is some renovation going on the property. The stay was alright. Minus the incident during check in.
